wah, dont start war eh.

aadvark is being super helpful in this forum, and i follow sampam in her other forum's posts and shes super helpful as well. i have been inspired by how much you both are willing to help and get no benefit out of it at all.

think there's no right and no wrong in this, its about choice.

coping with less frills and inconvenient way(change flights or super long bus journeys) to get to nara with a cheaper price. he also does simple surgeries and seems to be rather conservative with his approaches or so i gathered, so less risk. and thats perhaps what most pple want, just simple rhinoplasties/double eyelid for subtle changes.

bangkok is definitely more convenient but quite a bit pricier, think we do need to pay for the greater convenience and nicer environment we get. and the doctors are more comfortable with doing more procedures, i.e. dr somyos who is very famous for complicated nose surgeries.

nara's clients dont mind so much the lack of websites and his nurses having bad english on the phone(or so for me at least so far). definitely not so nicely packaged as the other famous doctors, but so long as it works.

personally, if its so many areas of lipo, i think i would just opt for GA and and get it all done at once. such a torture if everyday need to go for one procedure. cant imagine the trauma. then probably nara's not an option anymore.

aadvark is indeed very patient to answer each and everyone's enquries although he doesnt have to do so necessary. I believe this thread has provided many with resourceful information and whether to go to nara or not is up to own's decision.

but since asking for more information/reviews and bombing others with questions, perhaps a better attitude and tone can be put across else no one will be bothered with such rude posts and statements

well i just wanna say that dr nara is like budget airline. cheap and good enough for simple and no frill PS. expect anything more, gona pay more for better service at othe rplaces.

Different ppl has diff needs, some are constrainted by budget some just wanna have the best skill and techniques availbale. diff market has diff price.

ya as what aadvark pointed out, it's ridiculous to go to a PS just cuz of his credentials alone. my acquaintance worked at the plastic dept of a local hospital before, and 9 out of 10 cases had infection & scarring. don't forget that the Newsweek magazine did mention that the Yanhee hospital performed many botched cases too.

credentials may be impt, but haven't you read the hundred plus pages of successful surgeries that nara has performed?

if a hundred odd pages of positives reviews is unable to persuade you that nara is good, then i don't know what else will. even with like 1000 pages you'll still say there's no credentials and all right? i don't think nara needs a patient like you.

Do you seriously think I would use the word "scrutinize" and not cover every single detail of that surgeon not just credentials and papers but also botched up jobs, past clients, lots of photos etc???? WHEN I say SCRUTINIZE I MEAN SCRUTINIZE. I dont be nice about it and play safe but am very direct to the point of knowing exactly how big the incision will be etc and arguing about differing methods and doctors logic etc.


At his lipo price I might be interested but I have 2 obstacles 1. I would have to go from bangkok to hatyai and 2. he wouldnt be able to do it all on the spot? Cant he use a hospital like someone mentioned that he does? and 3. he doesnt use smartlipo which would mean much quicker recovery.

yup, extra flight to hatyai, but the price diff if u doing several areas wld be enuff to offset the cost of the 1hr flight

other consideration would be healing time i suppose. if not wrong, someone compared tumescent and smartlipo and tumescent takes up to twice the time to heal.

when he uses a hospital, think the price is driven higher. He uses the hospital for BA and it's relatively expensive (still dirt cheap compared to elsewhere) compared to his other procedures

Dr Nara speaks decent english, but i dun think he answers calls nor replies mail. Think he has a female assistant doc to reply his emails, and his nurse who answers his calls

I only wish somebody in his staff spoke english or somebody replied to my email nothing yet. So i dont know how much he would in fact cost and then theres the point that many PS consider 1 area a single point. For example in his case maybe he would consider outer thigh 1 point inner thigh another then next outer and inner thigh then upper abdomen and then lower abdomen and then love handles and then buttocks ?? so maybe its considered as 9 areas by his office?

Other PS consider it as 4 other some consider it 6 etc

Only he can answer what he considers all that as and unfortunately no answer yet.


Alternative yoskarn offer ultrasonic VASER lipo which is supposed to be faster healing too. So far being quoted around 4000-5000 in BKK. yanhee stated 4 sites hence 4800usd

i m concern that my nose is infected, cos it swell up to like the nose i had the 1st few days after the operation and painful to touch. i email dr nara, he email me to get the antibiotics he prescribes. is it possible to get it over the counter in pharmacy? or a family doc will prescribe?

Antibiotics, mostly need a prescription.
You may first go check with the pharmacist, he/she will tell you if you need a prescription. If you need one, then see your family dr, if he has this antibiotic in his clinic, pay the dr for it.
Or get the prescription from the family dr and buy it at the pharmacy.

dont be slow about this and go to your family doctor asap! and get a prescription or the drugs from him. otherwise it will only take longer etc etc

got forumer went, as long as the tummy not overly large, it's considered as 1 area for upper and lower. Same for thighs

for peace of mind, i would go straight to a GP to get it checked. which was what i did when my chin implant had infection. Think got a few in this thread who has infection on their nose after implant also, maybe they can guide you through this

he does prescribe antibiotics, but i feel that he doesn't give enough, hence the infections. other possibility is that everyone leaves like 2-3 days after surgery, so there's no post-op involved, so even if we need more antibiotics, there's no way to get any from him. The surgery room itself feels pretty sterile.

i wun say high incidence la, people who have mentioned an infection still a handful, but the people who are alright wun purposely post just to say they had no infection, so we end up focusing only on the negative

so far, did 5 separate ops with him, only my chin implant had an infection. but i might have been a little negligent with my oral hygiene

Why would i need to scold you? U re e one who wanted a reply, and so i did it, wassup with all the whining? YES, u have nvr stood anyone up. . i choose u & only U out of the rest of those forumers to say something unpleasant,direct, which is not of any help and is all, ALLLLLL targetting to u.

ATTENTION for those with infected NOSE or suspect a goin-to-be infected NOSE( swelling,redness, high abnormal bridge) !!!!!!!!

Antibiotics cant get it from pharmacy, as prescription is needed.
PLS visit yr GP and inform them about the surgery u ve done, and drop the idea to go polyclinics.

Smoking follow by drinking will cause swell, and as for food, GP mention any food is fine as it shouldnt cause any issue on the nose(implant is consider as external part of body), but personally i do feel that one should avoid seafood, even prawn cracker pls, sambal chilli wif prawn paste in it.

I was given 5 days dosage antibiotics, and each pill cost $9. Assuming is a very good antiobiotics cause it is not cheap. The last infection was within e window period of 2 mths after my surgery and no relapse till nw, say bout 2 mths from my last infection.
