Ok, here's my right jaw on the 19th day. Dr Pat said that my left jaw is less developed than my right jaw (which wld explain why my right side of face has always been bigger and I suffer lockjaw from time to time), therefore he carved a slightly larger implant for my left jaw.

hence, my left jaw is more swollen than my right jaw, and will prob take longer to heal. it's not very obvious that left side is bigger becos with the bigger implant, now both sides are more balanced, but left jaw has more swelling, which has caused numbness in the area below my lower left lip. I do hope it's just numb and not some nerve damage. I encountered the same numbness when i went for lipo in dec, but it faded after a month or so.

thus, i have posted only my right jaw so far. right jaw still a bit swollen, hopefully it will go away and leave an even more defined jawline in time :)

The front view still looks a bit wide, but if i use my chin implant experience as a guide, it will continue shrinking to maybe half or 3/5 of its current size. at least i pray that it will follow the same healing pattern, else i will permanently have a big face :P

Don't be so upset. I think if all fails, you could use botox to de-widen your face, but maintain the same angle. Lets hope it works out though.

Is it true that if the silicone is not high enuff for the nose, the surgeon can actually use goretex as another layer to prop it up?

hmmm, that does not make sense, why wld the silicone not be high enough in the first place? Unless you mean there is dissatisfaction with the bridge height and u r adding goretex as part of the revision.

Not sure about that. But i would raise some questions:

1) wun that be 2 diff layers in the nose and higher chances of shifting if the 2 materials glide over each other?

2) since u gonna open up ur nose again to slide the other layer in, you might as well just change the entire implant?

it really depends on what sort of nose they have originally.

people with high bridges obviously dun need any augmentation for bridge, narrow noses dun need alar, and sharp noses dun need tipoplasty...

as usual, do ur PS abroad, not locally :D

hey guys,
After an extremely long and tedious journey of browsing thru almost 100 pages of this thread. (its worth it though)
I've pretty much decided to have my nose done by Dr Nara, Bangkok, Hadyai.
I know i'm looking to do a rhino and an alar.
But i'm still pretty much a noob in this.
Will u guys recommend silicon or wad other material for the implant and Rhinoplasty refers to nose augmentation right??

Btw, is it safe to say rhinoplasty with Dr Nara will cost abt 10, 000 baht?

Thanks all!!

You can get your own, main brands being Design Veronique and Marena.
Think some forumers do sell it, just look thru the thread :)
aadvark, do u know the reason y nara does not believe in compression garment?
no idea, he's a man of few words, haha :D
