oh no, so sorry to hear about this, you must be very worried.boii18 wrote:I have consulted NUH P.S. department about it already. Saw the Dr.
She has used her fingers to shift the silicone implant to midline. The unequal alar was definitely caused by the silicone implant not being straight.
She used flash to take picture of the new silicone position and yes, it is indeed midline now, and alar looks balanced now.
She has given splint to me so that it is held steady at this position.
I have written to Dr Pat about this.
My question is whether the silicone implant will stay in this new position, cause i hope it will. And for how long.
thanks aadvark and suuz.aadvark wrote:i did alarplasty there, so nara does offer alarplastysuuz wrote:yes that is it, no repositioning just remove some flesh.yunli wrote: thanks suuz!
the same point meaning where the nostrils are attached? that means just taking off some flesh instead of like alarplasty where they cut and reposition?
that makes some sense.
does nara do this? shdnt be that hard i think. but then again im no ps surgeon.
Nara, don'tknow, i believe 1 person did alar there or is goint to, but i thought nara does PS, meaning implants, and he also does lipo.
but maybe aadvark knows more?

mine doesn't have screws, but it's still in place, it's placed in front of the bone, so i dun think it can slip behind anythingInferno wrote:@Aadvark:
I have one question for you regarding chin augmentation, is it possible that implant slips from its position? I think docs put that implants with screws or something like that? I have started feeling that perhaps my chin implant has gone behind the chin.. Nt sure though, its just that as swelling has subsided, I feel that i need more chin definition![]()
Lol.. i got hit by my niece as well.. she is a toddler and she suddenly lifted her head and it directly came to my swollen nose(when it was just second week after my surgery).. horrible pain!! and the other time, I got hit by a lady in the mall, by mistake her hand hit my nose.. i dropped everything i had in my hands to immediately hold my nose.. she was so inconsiderate and she didnt even say sorry.. (What a b*tch!!)
@Boii, best of luck.. i hope you wont land in that kinda problem.
Also, does anyone know a good place for skin resurfacing procedure, different options and expected downtime?
