I understand that you did double eyelids with Nara and took about 2 months to "look normal" . Did you mean the crease started to look "natural" ? Do you mind to share your experience of recovery?
I had my eyelids done 2 weeks ago, incision and suture method - swelling and bruising has gone, but the crease still looks really fake and high up, friends told me I now look like those middle-aged "aunty" who has her double eyelids done. So depress now:(
now more than a yr later, it's very natural and reasonable size, not fake at allthink eyelids take a while, look at pan lingling's husband - huang shinan; when he first did, also damn fake and obvious, but now a few years le, look natural and nice le
cool, nice to know someone had a good experience thereboii18 wrote:Hey all just to update!! XD Luckily everything went very very well. I fasted from 12 midnight to my surgery the next day at 10 am. At 10 am I promptly arrived at Tokai clinic. First impression was good. even though it was surrounded by afew old stores and shops ( though, its possibly new by bkk standard! ) the clinic itself is white and very very clean. The nurses are also very polite and friendly. Filled in my patient information form and waited to see doc. At 10.30 am promptly i went to see doc. While waiting i saw a thai who going in to do smething, and a black american girl ( unsure what country tho ) who consult with dr pat cos i think she just completed her procedure. at 10.30 am i met dr pat. firstly was abit shock! becos he does look different from the photo a little bit, maybe aging. he is dressed in doctor gown and very professional, have a brand new very fast compaq presario laptop. i sat down to explain to him my concerns. he was very nice, and even ran for me digital imaging to see how my profile view would look like ( i am very concerned abt profile view becos front view was quite straightforward ). and my oh my! i was delighted by the changes.. they were so subtle but they seem to make me look so good than before.
basically what i would have done is
- the reduction of my alar width, as well as bringing in my alar upwards and inwards.
- the increase of my nose bridge with silcione implant, it also increase my tip a little bit
- tip-plasty
- i wil not be have osteotomy ((bone breaking) because it is not necessary
- my coulemella will be shifted slightly upwards
- my nose will have the slight aesthetic convex shape because that is what i desire, but doc say not much difference
- his editing software something lyk photoshop, but much more precise and nice ( becos his skill i guess. its same as photoshop liquify, but dr. is very precise in his adjustments )
Then i was sent to do a mouth wash, and wash. abit hard to talk to nurse cos they dont speak very good english, but they are very nice. i bought food for all of them and they happy. haha. anyways, they are really pretty!
after doing my cleaning, i was sent to the 3rd floor, think its surgery center. the 2nd floor is holding bay . the operating theatre i went to was very very well equipped. it has pulse oximetry, constant BP measure, and alot of medical equipment. it does look very sterile. the light is very bright, and there is ample space. i believe that if anything were to go wrong there ( like with anesthesia), the doctor can do quite alot to prevent the other systemic condition from getting worse cos its soooo equipped.
the operating team was a staff nurse ( and anesthesiologist also?), as well as arnd 5 other nurses. i had a intravenous put into my right hand, and it was a sedative. i was to be put under local anesthesia with sedation.
i was kinda worried cos for some time i was feeling very wide awake! not sedated at all. around 30 mins into the sedation, i start to feel groggy, and slipped into semi-consciousness. was also quite exhausted by then. then they started to apply things to my nose to make it numb. and tape my eyes shut. the rest is a blur. i closed my eyes didnt want to see. i can feel my nose being tugged and pulled at etc. then around an hour or so ( time does fly when u're under anesthesia! ) , i start to be more awake. kinda nervous, cos i can feel the tug and pull at my nose ( though no pain at all! surprise! cos i've done other procedure before, and its not as comfortable as this. ) . i can feel the stitching process. i ask doc, where are we at now. he say he done the tip and rhino. almost done. left alar. i start to fear becos now not sedated as much ( in fact, my heartbeat is quite fast!! can hear from the oximetry beeps ), but later 3 injections or so to my alar area. and the alar is numb. then they start to cut, and stitch, excise tissue, etc. ( though i didnt know what they doing cos it was so numb!! ).
Finally, my surgery is complete at 2.15 pm. i was sent to the holding bay. i was wide awake by now. no feeling of nausea or vomitting, alittle bit giddy, but certainly even more awake than after taking flu/cough medication!! dr pat's anesthesiologist is very experienced! i can see my nose it has a gauze inside to suck out blood which fall, and can see the alar excisions. i had a nose cast ( put in the last 10 min of operation ). then becos i got bored ( no nurse to attend to me after awhile ), i start to fall aslp. then a 2nd nurse attend to me, and put ice pack on my head ( even tho no fever and no pain... ) but i just put... then it drop after awhile... ( cos i turn lol. ) then i told the 3rd nurse. that it drop. quite hard to tell her tho cos communication barrier. yup. so she took a new ice pack and put on my head.
around 4pm i woke up again. and i feel worse a little. i feel.. a little pain only. nothing serious. so always rmb to put the ice pack i think it helps, ya.
i then went down the see nurse ( dr pat has gone - anyway in the op theathre, he say my op is very good. the nurse also say very good, haha. ) The nurse gave me the medication, 6 types in all. for my sensitive nose, for pain ( 2 types for pain, one more severe and one is sth like panadol), anti-inflammation, antibiotic. oh i remember. before i leave op theatre at aroudn 2.10 pm dr pat administered antibiotic shot for me as well.
then around 4.30pm ( or around there ) i left the clinic with my 2 friends to my hotel.
i had a mild nose bleed. very mild. which kinda worried me a little. but nurse say it will be gone tommorow.
then i went to eat and sleep. i eat rice ( nothing spicy or nothing hot ! ) and then took the medication required. i woke up at 10 pm. ( slept at arnd 7pm? ) , and i feel very good. the mild pain in the nose ( feels like at incision site ) has disappeared, blood has almost dried completely (no more nose bleed). i feel a little feverish, but i guess im not having fever.
very good experience at tokai clinic and strongly recommended. haha, dr. remembers those who went to tokai recently. i asked about aadvark who did buccal fat. he ask me about Mr. woo? or mr.voo?? going to do surgery in april.
oh, no problems paying singapore dollar, and deposition of belonging is very safe ( i deposited my wallet, and everything ) with the nurse after fill in the deposition form.
i forgot to mention that at 4pm when i woke again at the clinic i remove the syringe which is attached to my right hand. apprently the syringe is some very strong pain killer and anesthestic to be administered by nurse in case of pain. but since i had no pain, they took out the syringe, unused .
oh, theere is also another doc ( female ). i think anesthesia or staff nurse. she also advised me. maybe they doing shiftwork, not sure. think tokai is 24 hours since they have holding area and night stays.
oh. from the time i woke,i can breathe from mynose. no problemo!but i prefer to breathe mouth most of time. cos scared nose bleed or stress the nose. after op abit dry throat and mouth, but after drink water its ok
Anybody doing the smartlipo please insist that the fat is sucked out as otherwise the body still has to get rid of the fat and that can only happen on a total fatfree diet and low calory...and thus most times the fat is reabsorbed!adonz wrote: btw ppl yday i went to pruksa clinic at rama iv for ipl treatment... cheap n good! about half the price compared to tat in sg... tis clinic is recommended by my thai colleague. she also recommended romrawin clinic. they do smartlipo too. n for tummy it's 45k baht only! i paid 40k baht for arm lipo at tokai n my arms r still chunky n fat now...
