I had my trip to Bankok by tiger airlines only and I found three counters. for Tiger Airlines at Bangkok airport. My flight was at 8ish am and i left the hotel at 6:30 am or so, but i had to spend like 1 hr for check-in and another 40 minutes for immigration due to mad mad rush at airport. Other than that my trip was quite comfortable. I am sure you would have your reasons of getting bit late, but its always advisable to go early to airport.
Best of luck for your speedy recovery and thanks for posting your pix on the forum.

I had tiplasty done at tokai. This is my third week and i am really pissed off with results so far. So, 5 days are definitely not enough!! Talk about weeks or months here. Though much of swelling has gone, but still I have considerable swelling on my nose (pretty much like a clown's nose).
Leav, if you are going for tiplasty to tokai, read the following:
1. Make doctor understand about what exactly you want, better show a picture as sample. Obviously, u wont get the exact nose, but doc will be able to comprehend your requirements.
2. You may expect yourself to wake up during operation (even after GA). Don't panic, ask for LA if required. There will be a cut at columnella (portion between your nostrils) and leave a slight mark. For tiplasty, mosta surgeons prefer open rhino as it gives more access area to nose. To remove scar, back in US I could easily get MEDERMA. It seems to be quite effective. (I am still in quest of MEDERMA in Singapore though).
2. If you are going alone for PS, be ready for tough time. Most importantly, you need to be pretty inconsiderate about existence of others as, for sure, you will get pretty long stares.
3. Make a list of things you may require. You will definitely need few things (like ice-pack, clean sterilized gauze etc.)
4. Before taking taxi, get address written in Thai by someone. Not all cabbies are well versed in English there. Make sure that you get Taxi meter cab and ask to travel by meter only. After coming outta airport, look for taxi meter stand. After PS, ask dr. pat or nurses to write your hotel address in Thai.
5. For sure, you will hate mirrors for few weeks. Expect yourself to look really really weird. Swelling will be so significant that every other person will be able to realize that you have got something done to your nose. You CAN NOT go back to your job after week. So make your plans accordingly.
6. There is no problem in travelling by air. I came back by tiger airlines after four days. Didnt get any problem
7. You will bleed for sometime after PS and use sterilized gauze to wipe it out.
8. You need to sleep with your head raised. Use 2 or 3 pillows, its pretty much like that you are sitting and sleeping.
9. You have to use splint (or cast) on your nose for few weeks (atleast two). I couldnot use as i got skin inflammation (after four days) due to adhesive on the splint and dr. pat told me to discontinue the usage. You may like to remove splint before going to airport. Put it back once you reach your home. (Though i didnt get any problem in immigration, but Dr. Pat actually wrote a letter for me that i had a nose surgery as my face was horribly swollen.) You may like to wear a surgical mask if you want.
10. Dr. will give you sterilized buds n gauzes, NSS to clean the wound. You need to clean the wound daily. Take Painkillers and Antibiotics regularly. In worst case, you can get an antibiotic shot from a local GP here.
11. In worst case if you get some problem after coming back to Singapore, take your mugshot and send it to Dr. Pat and call him. He will definitely respond you in few hrs and will prescribe the possible solution.
Best of luck for tiplasty.
i took mine out on the 7th, lol! Some recommend 5 days, some recommend 6, i dun think it's a very impt number, so as long as 5 or 6 should be fine...Ms Juice wrote:hw long for swollening to subside after doin alar?

HI THANKS so much for those advice! i was also thikin of just sharpening a lil of my nose tip, didnt konw it will cause so much pain and bruising!Inferno wrote:@Adarvark

tiplasty doesnt require breaking nose. Also, it all depends upon what you want and what kinda nose structure you have. I have said it earlier as well, I DIDNT have very big bulbous nose.. i just wanted a bit sharper tip... but for some reasons it seems to be all f******* up for me. Till the time i dont see the results, i am gonna miss my original nose.![]()
Initially, you will feel that your nose is quite stuffed due to stitches and its quite normal if you get a desire to take all that sh*t outta your nose, but just dont do itThe dissolvable stitches will fall off by its own and dont become impatient to take out the flakes. Also, you are not supposed to make it wet for more than a week or so.
You can bargain about cost of procedures if you want, anyways, i didnt get much of discount -just few bucks and i paid everything in USD by cash. You can pay 'em in SGD or Baht as well. You can see the price-list at tokai site. though its pretty obsolete and currently cost is bit higher than that, but it will give you a bit of idea.
Aadvark has already told you about the landmark - "7-11 store",
just try to locate it once you are near "Soi Sukhumvit 97". you will be amused by the location of tokai clinic.. its sitting right among those little little shops at a very uninteresting weird place. (I am sure after seeing the clinic you will remember my words)
I almost forgot to tell about something really important. I ate something by 5am at airport before taking flight and I got my PS done at 12pm . You are NOT supposed to drink (not even water) or eat anything few hrs before PS.
when i meant "look normal", i just meant no more swelling and bruising. like you, my crease was super thick and high, everyone also say very fake... i think it took me almost 6 mths b4 ppl started to think it looks natural, but even then, to me, it was still quite highats_syd wrote:Hi aadvark,
I understand that you did double eyelids with Nara and took about 2 months to "look normal" . Did you mean the crease started to look "natural" ? Do you mind to share your experience of recovery?
I had my eyelids done 2 weeks ago, incision and suture method - swelling and bruising has gone, but the crease still looks really fake and high up, friends told me I now look like those middle-aged "aunty" who has her double eyelids done. So depress now:(
if it makes u feel any better, ur description sounds very close to Lazy's complaints after she did the surgery, hopefully you will be as happy as her in the endInferno wrote:@Adarvark
Many thanks for intimating about it, i somehow didnt check that mail account from past few days. I have really sensitive and problematic skin which lead me to have skin inflammation due to splint. Its all fine, but that inflammation has left a mark on my nose which is fading day by day.
Yes, you are pretty right. I had a gigantic hump which is going down a bit and due to this my nose tip has almost gone up towards North. Also it gives kinda piggy nose. For me, severe swelling started on third or fourth day onwards only. Alright dude i just realized that i need to stop as i can actually rant about it for hrs and hrs.![]()
