Hi all,

I am going to Hatyai on this Friday and will be seeing Nara on Saturday.
Thinking of getting some work done, have previously been there but this time i am going alone. Feeling a bit freaked out now.

If anyone happens to be in Hatyai this weekend and needs some company, please let me know. I think I will be there til at least Sunday or Monday, depends on how swollen I will be,lol !

I asked Dr. Pat about my nose and he said that i never told him to make it thin, rather he has made it bit smaller and I was like WTF!!
I think that i have got a bit piggy nose now which i didnt have earlier.. i am really really very unhappy right now. As boii18 suggested it takes time to see results after nose surgery, however I am sure that a few weeks of wait wont bring much joy to me. I definitely need a revision surgery later to alter my so called new piggy nose..

Before surgery, i discussed with Dr. Pat about giving me dissolvable stitches but after surgery i came to know that he HAS NOT given my dissolvable stitches.. He told me to come to Tokai clinic tommorrow for wound cleaning and all and Perhaps Dr. Pat is going to remove my chin stiches and put dissolvable stitches now (i dont think that i am going to do that.. One is enough for me)

My honest suggestion to all is that DONOT go alone to a foreign land for surgery.. its not only bit depressing, its kinda troublesome sometimes to talk to people.. i have been communicating to people using Pen and Paper so far.. (Just imagine that i wanted to have ICE Pack(Cold pack) from pharmacy and nobody could understand English.. so i had to ask people on the road to help me. For sure i am having a TERRIFIC time here!! Grrrr)..
Do give it some time, Lazy took many weeks to feel happy about her nose; she was quite concerned abt how it looked. It had a hump and looked slightly witchy according to her, but now she's quite happy with it...

tipoplasty will take much longer than rhinoplasty to heal cos they cut your nose cartilage.

but i agree totally not to go alone to a foreign land, because it can be very depressing, i suffered that in dec 06, so found ppl to accompany me in dec 07... which is why this thread was started :)

other thing i agree to is dun look in the mirror, especially if it's your first time... you will feel super depressed and unhappy with the way u look. I can still remember my first time, i was telling myself i was disfigured and vowed to burn down Nara's clinic, but everything turned out ok in the end :D

Thanks aadvark for ur piece of info and advice ^^

anyway... inferno, tipplasty involves reshaping of the tip.. maybe he removed the cartilage abit too much thus making your nose too small. I think doing implant rhinoplasty would easily fix that. Lets hope your nose turn out nice without implant though.

also, i read that post-PS most pple would feel sad and probably even angry due to the agony and pain ( cos most of us dont have a bandaged face ever in our lives before surgery !! so its like.. wtf.. disfigurement! ) .. and some even slip into depression post-PS.. so better take care of urself psychologically so that physically you heal better too!!!

me myself im gg for tipplasty and rhinoplasty..
i've asked dr pat a list of questions and hope i can get a reply soon. i hope its not horrible as it sounds.. im going to pick up some thai before i go to Tokai clinic lol!!

Hi Beanbean

You will need to consult a plastic surgeon in regards to your expectations. I had mine done at Dr Martin Huang in Paragon. Abit costly, but he is very good, no bruising, recovery was very quick. There were no ripples on the skin either. Had to wear compression garment for approx 2 weeks. I noticed a great difference immediately in my body shape after lipo. I am a slim person but had fat deposits in unwanted areas.

Thanks for de info but I planning to go to Dr.Nara
Me too I'm a slim person jus tt I've tt spare tyre after birth wanna get rid of it
Great! You will definitely notice a difference after lipo especially after child birth. No matter how much you exercise the excess fat just wouldn't go away. When are you going? Let me know how you get on after your surgery and what your experience is like with Dr Nara. I have not been to Dr Nara before. There's been alot of good reviews about him on this forum.

Good luck and hope to hear from you again.

Adonz: I will be coming back to Singapore on 29th morning, but i have to get my stiches removed after 10 days only.. which should be like 7th March. I stayed at Bangkok suite Petchburi Road, Ratchathewi, Bangkok. (http://www.bangkoksuite.com). Dr. Pat suggested me that hotel because of availability of Wi-Fi and good services. I am kinda satisfied with hotel services, however i would like to suggest you to find a place near the clinic as this hotel is bit far.

About Today:
I bought some chocolates for Tokai Staff and distributed it today. I dont know whether all Thai females are good or not, but its hard to see nice people in this world. I have seen people doing customer services with fake smiles, but Tokai staff is totally different than that. They helped me a lot while i was there.

One more thing is that do not make yourself uncomfortable with people staring at you. You should not give damn about what people think. I have been walking in the streets for buying this and that. If you are bit concerned, get a surgical mask. Wear it and screw the world !! [:)]

Also, a request to the forumers who have already got their stitches removed in SG. - Could you please suggest a good GP?
