Aardvark is right in saying that a website does not prove the skill of the Doctor in a place like Thailand, it only shows that they probably charge more. a poor webpage like what most of them have..do nothing to increase customer confidence, with little information. and we can't be sure the pictures are of their actual clients.

Have u fix a appt with Him? i hear that Dr Nara do the surgery while you will awake but i hope the anestheic is strong enough to numb the whole process.

Inferno wrote:I dont agree with aadvark about his opinion about why should a clinic have a website.. I ask wanna why not?

Actually Dr. Nara SHOULD HAVE a website.. i dont know what others think, but I would definitely like to dig info about a doctor who gonna perform surgery.. and he is in a business where infact a website not only will help in his business but it will let others know about his expertise, experience and satisfied patients..

Well i should tell Dr. Nara that if you will fix my nose quite well.. i will make/fix ur website for free [;)] he he he he (o'yeah!! i am quite bad in marketing my skills)...

I sent him a query regarding cost of surgery and got a prompt reply about Rhino, Chin Augmentation & face lift:

for nose 8,000 baht
chin aug 8,000 baht
face lift 30,000 baht

I wanna go in either last week of feb or first week of march.. anyone wanna join?

One more thing I need to know whether Dr. Preecha is better than Dr. Nara for enhancing Nose Tip? Anyone who has been to Dr. Preecha?
you might wake up during the surgery, but you are still numb to the entire surgery, else i think i would have passed out again from the pain, lol :D

Dr Nara doesn't do nose tip, his 8000 baht is just for the implant. he usually extends the implant at the tip to refine your tip a bit, but how much he can do that depends on your skin also...

lipo

as wat i feel, it is not about the website. it is abt the skill of being a plastic surgeron. it is a human life. i might not know how many experience to dr nara have in this line. Wat matter me is the skill? if we pay to fly off to thai and the skill work is bad ... it is a waste of the trip. if Dr nara is good at it ... at least no website but we who do plastic surgery can give a recommend to those for first time. it is fair to the surgeron as well.

Nw my point is those who do it before should be testify to let those first time assure of the doctors skill. I might want it to know if someone can share it like lipo and double chin area.

no idea, never done it locally, but martin huang did xiaxue's nose, and it looks pretty standard rhinoplasty to me...

think feedback from forumers recently is not so crowded le, i think he has been impacted by the stop of direct flights from other countries to hatyai... all must transit within thailand

I want go also!! let me know ok?
aadvark wrote:With regards to the liposuction, he doesn't provide post-op garments... actually it's more that Dr Nara doesn't believe in post-op garments... that's what he told my friend anyway when she went for lipo...

i cannot say much abt the lipo process because he told me my tummy not enuff fats to lipo, but i regret not forcing him to go ahead with it... might consider going again in mar just to lipo my tummy... maybe after that I can give you all a clearer view of what process he's using, whether it's really traditional lipo or tumescent lipo (which by now seems traditional - started in 1985).

until then, i can only give info on other surgeries I've done with Nara, namely, eyelids, rhino, alar, chin, dimples... so lipo questions, pardon me if i dun have relevant info

Yeah Aadvark, I believe u are right. Its still crowded at the clinic but these days, the international crowd is less and it has to be the stop of direct flights to HDY. The 3 times i went to his clinic, it was still filled but with mostly locals. From what Ive followed from this thread before, past forumers, while in the waiting room, bumped into many other patients from overseas. Oh and please be prepared to wait for a few hours to have ur surgery performed despite ur appointment time. Dr Nara is a busy man lol.

Vanityfair and plastic, for me personally, I'd rather hear testimonials from living breathing people able to respond rather than plain website recommendations. I just had my PS surgery 2 weeks ago and I cant be more pleased with the results.

Oh and also, I reckon Dr Nara doesnt see the need to have a website personally. Because when I came, he was asking if I did any form of PS before and I said no. He laughed and asked "So who recommended u to me?" From there, I could somewhat derive that his traffic of patients are mostly thru word of mouth and it's doing a great job for his clinic already. There's nothing more powerful than viral advertising and he is having that based on his satisfatory rate amongst his patients.

So have no fear, he is a nice doc to me. Funny too. He kept saying "Let's make u beautiful".... when he was about to perform the surgery. :)
