this is luv-tee's journey to hatyai by coach:

it's generally safe to travel alone. just keep a close lookout of the pple travelling with u too. like during immigration easy to lose them, just make sure you stick with them.

coach leaves sg time 7pm. reach HY 9am. due to freaking long queue at thai immigration. coming back. leaves HY at 2pm(depends which company u are with) and reach sing 5-6am? that day it was a monday so i reached sing at 7am. long long queue at customs...

well i have motion sickness but surprisingly no! i didn't feel unwell or giddy on bus. maybe is because i popped the anti motion sickness pill. bring jacket along. the bus is FREAKING cold!

hotel service is very good. room service very cheap also. i had room service 5 times cuz face swollen ah. only amount up to 750+baht. haha.

rmb to bring antibiotic cream there. can be bought from clinics. apply to external stitches to prevent scarring. nara doesn't provide that. if don't apply and no moist healing. scars will form.

i went alone so i brought along some finger food there too. like fun bun. cuz room service ends at 9.30pm i think. can bring stuff for entertainment also like PSP.. or books... i kept waking up at 3am cuz of pain and post GA effect. very giddy want to vomit all these. so can't sleep. read novels cuz i love novels haha.

i felt very sian and tired all that first few days after op lah. cuz can't walk very fast also. implant hurt like mad. after i reach singapore then felt better. quite lonely also. face will bloat for like 1week AT LEAST. quite obvious one. my friends commented my face very stiff after 1 week. now 2 weeks already i can jump and run and laugh and yawn. haha... but if you want fast healing, keep eating oranges/vit c tablets. eat fish/cod fish oil tablets. but vit c cannot over 2000mg a day or else stomach will run.

gd luck!

hope can answer some queries,

aadvark: I am VERY interested in JAw implants (make sharper/very defined angles). If you have any info please let us know.

Also, after you got your chin implant is it very sharp? I don't like round chins. I want something that is razosharp defined! How is yours?

aadvark wrote:Hi I am new here, however i have read through the thread.
I am interested in doing Rhinoplasty.

Just a few things to clarify, hope u all can help me:

1) Rhinoplasty and nose implant is the same right, just a different term being used ya? yup

2) I know a few of u have went for the nose job, and it's so troublesome to take care of it after that ya.
So no contact with water means for that whole recovery period washing face is a nono?
then if bathing and water is not allow to drip down?
or a slight contact is fine but must clean it away immediately?
i avoided the face lor, showering, can avoid the face ma... face area clean with damp cloth then dry immediately

3) what happen if during the healing period and u happen to sneeze, how? will it affect or spoil everything?
sneezing is fine la, nose will feel sore, just control the sneeze, louder you sneeze the more painful

4) for alar, usually u got it done there and got ur stithes removed in Singapore?
6 days later then can remove stitches, so if you dun want to stay there so long, remove back in sg lor

5) For implant I or L shape better, will DR Nana give suggestion?
Haha, it's Dr Nara (a man), not Dr Nana. Dr Nara only does closed rhino, silicon L-shaped implant so you dun have a choice

6) So after the nose surgery right, sleeping will be difficult right, every action is not to hurt ur nose right?
Hmmm, not sure about you all, but when i sleep seldom will touch my nose la, be it on back or on side, so wasn't a problem... something touching ur nose wun be painful unless pressure is applied... so if you tend to sleep halfway and bury your nose into your pillow, then might be a problem...

Sorry for asking so many questions(to all), then again this whole forum is really very informational! Totally great help.
Thank you very much in advance

Hey thanks so much for the reply.

One more question, silicon and gortex. same?
