I am at 2 month+ after epi and double eyelid.

My epi seems to go down but the scar can be seen. Just hope it will fade away soon. Eyelid is going down slowly at realllly slow rate.

I did my at Dr Chi. Everything is quite ok now... but i am still on fake specs to not let ppl notice because even with spec some ppl can notice the difference most probably because of the epi. Epi can make a huge difference ! And also the scar is quite a troublesome thingy.. i went oversea without it and it raised ! so must really take care of the scar if not it will turn worsen..
Hi ,

Your epi look nice, mine one abit round. And I feel my eye is not longer and bigger enough..

Removing stitches

Post by qiutinger » Fri, 09 Mar 2012 11:35 pm

Hello! Can someone please advice where to remove stitches (alarplasty) other than Tan Tock Seng?

I called their plastic surgery department up to book appointment a week ago and they told me their doctors are fully booked and they will give me an appointment with their understudying doctors (whom they explain, are not exactly doctors yet but they can remove stitches. Christ sake like this i might as well use scissors cut it myself lol.

Anyway so could any of you please advice? If GP does it, which GP? I'd go anywhere in Singapore so long as it's recommended to be good!

Thank you!!! ^.^

removal of stitches most docs and even nurses are trained to do it. any GP would do. i removed mine at diff GPs before, no problem at all.

try chin implant first. based on proportions, ur chin is a little short. cheaper, heals faster, and less painful than genioplasty.

chin implant really flattens the cheeks and make it look thinner. try chin implant first. 6 mths later then decide if u wanna lipo. altho must know that lipo is always temporary. if diet remain same, the fats do come bk.

if really chipmunk cheeks even if u r thin, then consider buccal fat pad removal.

chin implant give occasional pain in the future when longer abit like those golden threading under skin.

buccal fat removal works little cos ive done it before. if anything.. it actually caused scarring inside my mouth.

Thank you for the honest opinion, i do think my chin is abit short n receding. Do you think my face is long as i am afraid chin implant will further lengthen my face....Do you also think my jaw is big?
I am underweight but still have fat cheeks... :???: Dr Andrew Tay actually advice against buccal fat removal saying that the fats will be naturally gone when u age..but i am 25 already

hi, actually im considering buccal fat removal as i have fat lower cheek, aiming to have a more "v" face.
u mean it doesnt work well for u? fats grow back and caused scar? where did you do it?
in that case, is there other alternative?
thankss

ats_syd wrote:For those who has done alarplasty ,I have a few questions :

1) Does alarplasty helps to reduce the size of the "nose wing" and also he nose wings' direction ,I am asking this because I feel that my nose wings are sitting too low (that makes my nose tip sits higher than the outer wings) ,the size of my current nostrils are fine , is alarplasty possible to reverse the nose wings so it sits higher?

2) Is it possible that alarplasty involves taking out excess tissues around the wings (but not necessarily the size of the nostrils)?
Hi Ats Sydney just wondering how your nose surgery at yoskarn went? Can u let me know? Pls email me at [email protected] thx.

i've done chin implant twice, and had them since dec 2006, nvr encountered any such pain...

buccal fat pad is of diff size in diff ppl. that's why i mentioned specifically ppl who are thin but with chipmunk cheeks; these are the people who will see drastic diff after buccal fat pad removal. the fats in buccal fat pad once removed, will not come back.

any surgery will leave a scar. buccal fat pad is done intra-oral, and since we have to eat etc, the wound inside the mouth takes much longer to heal. but it will heal eventually. mine did.
