As some may be aware, I already had few rounds of infection since my PS in last year Dec. I have just started a new job and can't afford to have any leave nor mc. I had emailed to Dr Nara and the nurse had called asking me to go back asap saying my nose would deformed if don't remove the implant. I had also emailed to Dr Pat and he also ask me to remove asap if not I would lose my nose like michael jackson. I had spent alots of money since then. Now I'm taking expensive antibiotics that cost $9 each. My nose is having the worst infection among all. Red and swollen with pus coming out till my new colleague had asked what happened to my nose bridge. Super depressed.....
I know I have to remove it but after that how do I face my colleague in office. I would return to office with a flat nose. Both Dr Nara and Dr Pat replied that they can't do another implant for me straight away. Must wait for the infection to heal first.
Hence, I'm giving local PS a try hoping to have some good news. I'm praying very hard now.
Happyliving, please please get your implant removed. You have pus-filled blisters by the sounds of it and I really don't think that your implant can be saved when the infection has progressed to this stage. Trust both surgeons and get it taken out before it eats up your nose, because that's what the infection does.
I too had an infection and had pus-filled blisters and took heavy-duty antibiotics and all, but nothing worked. Now I've got a scar on my bridge and another scar at the tip of my nose. The worst bit is, the tip has collapsed and according to the doctor who did my fillers, the skin there is as hard as rubber.
If you remove your implant now, you can get another one put in later, or you could opt for something less foreign, like ear/rib cartilage surgery. But if you don't remove your implant soon, you may not even get to do that.
I really, really hope the infections clear up soon. Sending good wishes your way.
