hmm... juz wondering what kind of privileges that air crew actually gets? :P

anyone knows what are the more common ones? other than velvet entry and samsonite discounts? 8-)

For a start depends which co. A Hong Kong airline staff gets unlimited ID90 tickets on EY or Business class,1 FOC ticket for self and family member,Medical,Provident Fund,gratutiy,profit share bonus and 13th month.

pay 10% of nett ticket price.Also inter-airline tickets.

yes SIA has a similar benefit scheme. you get 1 FOC ticket on EY for yourself and your immediate family each year, and discounted travel for other times. and of course there's medical benefits etc. I wouldn't say this is "special privileges", more like company benefits.

if you're talking about outside privileges, then like you mentioned, there's Aircrew night at Velvet, and many other clubs as well. There's also discounts at Samsonite, DFS, some shops in the airport, etc.

well the job has its pros and cons, i don't think you should join just cos of discounted travel! :D lol.
