i was wondering.. does anyone know of anyone that has been fined for anything here? I always ask when chatting to locals and have never found a single case. maybe people are just well behaved.. and also, half these things also carry fines in europe too, but kind of ignored (apart from the 'no durians on the mrt'.. dont have that problem in UK

)

Jaywalking in a marked crosswalk. I stepped off the curb before the redman turned green (half way across). Therefore was charged with Jaywalking along with about 10 others at the Ang Mo Kio MRT station intersection. 50 bucks!
also $150 for breeding mozzies that I didn't know about when I first bought my flat (wasn't even moved in) as it was still under renovations and my wife had brought her damn plants and put them in the entrance foyer and sure enough NEA got us. Or got me as I was the only sod there at the time. This was before I was involved in the Pest Control Business.
