I don't really look big when i wear shirt, skirts and pants or watever tat can wrap me up but i look extreme BIG in my ARMS when i wear sleeveless......
SAD!!!! i feel so desperate to slim down my arms that i wanted to go for MESO..... anyone try MESO before?
Dear lefthanded...i hope i will demoralise you by saying so...but my friend....she went for the SIA interview...she has got N levels and a diploma from MDIS......SIA refuse to take her....as they require to see her O level cert.....she was so upset about it.....

Hey Jol, it's ok! And thanks wawaa for your little piece of info! Appreciate that!
If they are really so particular about qualifications then I don't think I should go there and embarrass myself... and there's probably no point spending hours there waiting and be told to leave...

Hey lefthanded, why don't you try for Emirates?
My that friend who was rejected by SIA, she went for Emirates in Apr and she got in!!!! Yesterday she flew to Dubai for training already....
Emirates is also one of the good airline to work with. But you will need to be based in Duabi though.....

But Emirates will be asking for qualifications too right? Your friend at least has a dip I failed mine.....
If I can get in I don't mind Dubai but now I won't even dare to try...

Hi lefthanded,
from what I know SIA is very particular about qualifications. If you really wanna be a FA, why don't you retake your O's? Concentrate on your education 1st before embarking on this dream
Slow and steady steps

I kinda haf to agree with u on the Emirates selection, yes definitely they r not particular wen it comes to physical aspect. You do not need to haf flawless skin, look gd in uniform while walkin thru n fro and they dun even haf such ting as skin check as long as u look pleasent. Age doesnt matter to them as well coz I do see ppl above 30 tryin n they got tru. Tink stringent selection based on physical aspects is only applicable to asian airlines...the europeans..americans..middle east airlines for them age is not an issue.
BUT Emirates is extremely stringent wen it comes to attire durin the intv esp durin the final round. You r expect to put on formal office attire , casuals r not allowed so trust me in the first round usually those in the wrong attire r immediately kicked out! Frm my experience, Emirates selection criteria is a lot on personality. They r ppl who r not physically pleasent but got in coz of their flawless personality. I'm tokin frm what was told during the talk given by SSAtlantic thus u gotta bring out ur personality n confidence...no Singlish..dont be too reserved n wen they expect u to talk u better talk. Usually the outcome is very very few...out of the hundereds walk-in only 10-15 tat I knoe of will be selected in the end. So the rationale is...show off ur confidence n lively personality, they will luv u n dont worry too much on ur physical aspects!

Hey dear lefthanded....
Go and try for Emirates.... their requirement is only of high sch standards...and what i heard from my friend...they dun even bother to ask you for your results..... you should at least try once than regret..... at least for SIA you have a reasons for not going.............but not for Emirates......tomorrow will be my 1st time trying as well.......Be confidence.... i am also not young i am 24 this yr already.... but i rather try than regret....
I also agree with wawaa about Emirates being stringent abt their crews....
My friend went through the 2nd interview but failed...In her group discussion of 10 members, none of them got into the final round.... so sad.....

Yeah! N they r always slashing half n sometimes more than half at every round. Also very nerve wreckin as it is done on the spot back to back till the very last few whom will stay back for an hr briefing by the agency on tips on wat to expect n the questions asked durin the final intv. In this case, Emirates selection is clearer wen ur at final round coz the agency will give tones of tips n sample questions to prepare for the final intv.
When it comes to qualifications, their entrance is not as high as SIA coz I remembered knowin some girls who had got 'N' level as an entrance n went thru the rounds briskly.

Wear a professional outfit for an interview. You are being judged based on the first impression and no matter how you redeem yourself, the first impression can't be changed.
Go tomorrow, try out and if you get through, make sure you wear something appropriate when you go for the real screening day by Emirates recruitment team.
Have fun.
