wahaha... i am also on the chubby side!!! keke...

height - 161
weight - 51 ~ 53 (somehow i just get heavier during PMS) :x

well... its consider as a healthly and proportionate height and weight ratio... but i guess... many of us are just being self critcial... keke...

hmm, me too agree that as long as you look healthy and proportianate...
weight does'nt really matter ler... be it chubby or skinny... watever size and shape... JUST TRY... coz you really dunnoe wat they want and when you might just be the lucky one that day... we should never let our weight become the barrier!!! well... unless you are really obviously overweight / underweight... chubby gals rock too! hehehe

for me... my most concern problem is not about height and weight... but my complexion :( the 2 BIG spot lights they used during the kabaya round to check the complexion... can become the biggest barrier to me!!!
though the interviewer stand a certain distance away from you, but can u imagine??? 2 big spot lights shinning straight onto your face??? :-| i dun have a very nice complexion... i have some blemishes and pimples scars here and there on my face... i wun say its serious... but most of the gals i saw who managed to pass the kebaya round have pretty nice, clean and clear complexion... hmm... can anyone of your gals here tell us some of your experience??? how is your complexion like??? any flaws or watever??? thank you so much... hehe... :D

Actually the spotlight is not a spotlight per se. It is more like a light bulb. You know those normal $2 kind of lightbulb. You just have to stand beside it so that it shines beside your face. Not shining directly at your face. Plus it is orange light therefore you can hide more imperfections with that.

I generally do not have oily skin or blemishes or have problems with my skin (genes, it runs in the family) but I have dark circles. So thank God they did not pick up on that :)

Hey Jeanette,

guess we're in the same boat n got the same biggest fear!! I must say this time round the skin check is a lot more better than the previous ones. I wonder when did they start on using the yellow bulbs?..hmmm

By the way, last time they used to do the kebaya round togeta wit the skin check at STC itself in one of those brightly lighted white lights room.
You knoe those kinda white natural lights on operation tables?..make-up counter..or those white lamps tat shines on u during facials. Oh man..used to hate it so much coz it feels awkard n guilty knowin tat I dun haf a perfect complexion n someone scrutinizing ur skin furthermore those white lights won't let u off! Every single flaw, pores n scars can be clearly seen! Thus during those skin checks, for 3 consecutive times I failed again n again. But lately, since the many walk-ins intv they held, the skin check is done in those kind of hotel rooms, not well lighted, dim and lotza of yellow spotlights. Even the skin check was a BIG RELIEF for me! Yellow bulbs were used thus I cld say 50% of my flaws is hidden..hehe. But they do make u stand really near to the 2 bulbs while they check on ur face n neck. I do feel a bit nervous coz I haf several small open pores near my nose. Guess the yellow bulbs has helped me to pull tru but basically I don't just depend on the lucky yellow bulbs but I had worked hard to improve my skin condition for the last 1.5yrs. Maybe it has paid off. I'm not like those who's blessed wif gd skin. Always encounter break-outs n problematic skin.

If u feel tat ur skin condition is not ok go on n improve it first..maybe see a dermatologist..apply good skin products..then go for it! Coz frm my exp they r really particular abt the skin n also ur make-up. I got spotted once for havin dry skin n not applyin my foundation properly. Got kicked off just like tat. Hide n hide every flaws u haf even eye-bags is a NO-NO. I still feel I got lotza areas to improve (uneven skin tone, open pores). N maintainin it (since I got a sensitive skin) is gona be tough with the heavy make up for long hrs durin flights n tats y we gotta at least haf a at least a pleasent skin. But pls dont get too paranoid over gettin a perfect skin. Thus dont give up!

hmm... really? orange/yellow spotlights can help to hide flaws better???
well... basically i dun have those serious acne problem... but neither do i have a flawless skin... hmm... i some "holes" here and there on my skin... u noe wat i mean ya?? hehe... :?

haiz... last time dunnoe how to take care of my skin la... now headache about my skin...

but i can hide those "holes" using concealer and foundation... not 100% conceal, but its not so obvious ler... but dunnoe how the interviewer judge it as... haiz... watever it is... i just dun have those flawless kinda of complexion but neither it is those serious kind one...

nevertheless... i am going to try agian this 15 July... i think all my worries are just uncessary unless i can pass the self intro round! which i only manage to pass once out of my so many attempts... oh! :???:

for the skin check, go for a facial a few days b4 the walk-in. it makes ur skin look "cleaner", free from all the black heads n what not.

i've lots of black heads on my nose actually, n i always felt that after a facial my face looks flawless.. or rather close to it la. :)
