Interviews conducted by agency

Post by renter » Wed, 13 Jun 2007 11:27 am

Just want to know whether you should go to those interviews conducted by agencies.
Not all agencies conduct interviews, but some insist on doing it before the client interviews.

I suspect sometimes it is just a waste of time being interviewed by them, and those agents sometimes know nothing about the positions but just gathering some general data or asking u to fill some forms.

What's your take on this issue? any experience in this? Thanks.

If you are genuinely interested in the post by the agency, & they require you to "meet up" with you first, you should go. Why? 1stly, they need to know the way you interact, how you dress. Most importantly, you will get your payroll from the agency after you are hired by your potential employer. Of course, in a way, it's rather boring as you'd be requested to fill up all those forms & they'd try to "slash" your pay, as if you are in the wet market asking for discount!! :) Hope it helps.......
