Men: Would you mind if your gf/wife had plastic surgery?

Post by misseypink » Sat, 09 Jun 2007 11:14 pm

Hi all the blokes out there,

I really would like to know whether:

1. Would you be disappointed or annoyed if you found out your girlfriend or wife have undergone plastic surgery in the past?

2. Would you think less of your girlfriend/wife? That her looks are not natural?

3. If there's a female friend or acquaintance whom you're attracted to, but then you found out she has had plastic surgery, would you become less attracted to her?

Thanks! Hope to hear from you!

Here's my input... To those points you mentioned, they are acceptable at least to me. So a "No" answer for all of them.

Cosmetic surgery for the extra confidence or other purposes are ok. But getting addicted to it is another thing. If you're always wanting more and will never feel satisfied then I think it is not a good point.

8-)

If the surgery is corrective surgery I have no problem with that. My views on pure cosmetic surgery are pretty well known. I like a person who likes themselves naturally and not what money can buy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. "Beauty is only skin deep but ugly goes all the way to the bone!" If you are not happy or accepting of yourself, you will never be happy with someone else and would probably keep trying to change that person, eventually driving them away.

Physical attraction is going to matter only if when you do not know the person, where the person is before you.

Like how you see less of an object, the more you get closer, Physic too loses its significance as you to get to know the person. What takes over is the soul.

So once a friend, the person moves beside you than staying in front. Marriage starts happening from there, until the person gets within. To answer some of your question.

1. Would you be disappointed or annoyed if you found out your girlfriend or wife have undergone plastic surgery in the past?

does not matter, as the surgery got done before I knew the person

2. Would you think less of your girlfriend/wife? That her looks are not natural?

Yeah.. if I was one who has not matured and allow myself to be conducted by society or my friends.
3. If there's a female friend or acquaintance whom you're attracted to, but then you found out she has had plastic surgery, would you become less attracted to her?
Yeah.. I would use it as an excuse after finding another attractive one, since I do not know the value of the soul & do not know what soul mates mean. Most times I too allow myself to be laid & chucked without my knowledge and I still think, I am a winner.

Cheers!!!

I know plenty of husbands whose wives went under the knife while they were married and they do not have a problem with it. I mean of course they say that their wives do not need it.. but if it makes their respective partners happy, then why not? =)

To each his own.

Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery is just procedures to enhance a flaw, it could be due to aging or having a slight correction to make somewhere nicer.

I think there is nothing wrong with it. Society judges a person base on the first impression. And in reality, looks does count.

I think if the wife/gf doesn't have an evil heart or attitude problem, coupled with good communications within the relationship, there is no need to be mindful with what your counterpart did, imagewise, externally to herself. :)

Not at all for all questions.
In fact , I will praise her for the job well done ; )
Think that's perfectly ok from most guys' point of view. Guess they would be happier to have a beautiful gf/wife.
LIke someone mentioned earlier, character is the factor that will determine the lifespan of the relationship. The appearance hardly takes the first priority..

From practical pt of view , better to come clean at the beginning to avoid bumps and dents to the surgically enhanced feature .hehe ; )
