US Attorney (some IT and tech firm work experience)

Hey! Relocated here a few weeks back and am applying for my EPEC, got cycling with ANZA and am finding a lot of fun expatriates out here. Wonder if anyone in the legal business has any suggestions for finding a position with an American or off-shore firm here doing corpie work (investment, finance, structured M&A, or IT/IP work), other than the old and trusted, "find the old boy network and NETWORK" ... which, while totally true, is a tad difficult for me, as my partner is a MD and while her sister is an attorney, she's no help at all (grin), due to the old adage, "you chose your friends, not your family".

Any direction, steering, would help.
