Guys i am wondering Dr uses the Korean implant, will it provide this kind of effect?
definitely not. And L implant basically makes a bulbous/fleshy nose BIGGER. unless you have a small nose(low bridge small nostrils), you're not really suitable for this. i wanted to get it too, but after opinions from other forummers and dr chuang himself, he says that L implant will only make bulbous noses bigger. does not help with the tip. if you have a bulbous tip, the solution is only to remove excess cartilage and harvest new or existing ones for tip projection. yen can afford to have it because i think she has a rather ok nose to start with, not very fleshy at the tip. :)

Takuda,

dont agree that L implant makes nose bigger coz 1 of the forumer's nose also very bulbous but Dr Chuang from Taiwan also did L implant for her.

How do you explain den?

Btw, alot of ppl did nose, eyes & chin at KALO like it alot :P

L implant impossible to make nose smaller for sure; bigger not too sure about that.

Perhaps if bulbous nose, one should be looking more at tip refinement and alarplasty, because the implant will define the bridge and ridge, rather than the tip...

my nose job

Post by shal0m » Sun, 12 Aug 2007 5:42 pm

hi yen! hi everyone!

i did implant with dr song last thu, it went well, he is a good doctor.

i took the "korean implant". Rachel said it's gortex though....i'm now just hoping for the best.

i didn't do alar, cos dr song said it's not good for me.

the story is: i had alar done once in 2005 by a famous PS in Singapore, but he screwed up!!! the tip did not become smaller, but it got lifted up because of scarring, then my nose look like pig's nose with big tip and obvious nostrils!!! i had a better looking nose before that cos of a high nose bridge, just thought a smaller tip will look nicer. in the beginning, the PS told me that have to be patient for the swelling to go down, then the tip will look smaller and pointed down, but it did not happen, so after a year, he used laser to "shave" off my "thich skin" on the sides (so said he), so i can look more normal at least...

anyway, when dr song looked into my nose before inserting the implant, he said he saw a lot of bad scarring, but he said it's probably due to the PS's skills, not because i have bad healing (i have better looking scar on my knee cap from knee surgery!!!) , like what the stupid Singapore PS said to me.
dr song thought it will be bad for my nose if he were to do alar again, so instead he chose to use injecting method to refine the tip. i think i can trust dr song, cos he doesn't seem to be the type of PS just after ur $$ (injection is less $$ than alar)

i'm not looking for perfection now, just a normal looking nose is good enough for me... :-|

btw, hey i thought beannie's "Before" pic look like Yen's "After" pic, did u post the wrong "Before" pic or what??

going back to KALO to remove stitch next week (most prob Thu), anyone want to come along? can share cab :)

lol yen! dun misunderstand me! i know a lot of pple did at kalo and like it. AND I AM NOT DOUBTING THE SKILLS OF KALO! REALLY! i believe u knw, i did ask u alot abt kalo last time right, rmb? cause i was interested in ur kind of L implant also! then dr chuang(haha i dunt know why? i can forward the email to you if you want) said, for a bulbous nose, an L implant will make the tip bigger, and that's why i drop the idea of visiting kalo. or maybe its just for my case cos i showed dr chuang pic? really not sure, but that's what he told me, and for your case yen, i don't think ur nose was bulbous. it IS round and a little upturned, but i guess it's not fleshy?

NO MATTER WHAT, I BELIEVE KALO DOES GREAT SURGERY, and in fact, i am interested for my eyes and chin to be done at kalo. cos of distance, cost, and real life experiences! so dunt misunderstand me yen.. :D

well like i say, i was interested in eyes and chin. eyes at kalo is 2000sing right(plus epicantho) if i'm not wrong? how about chin?heard for chin, medphor or smth is the best material? thanks!

ermm, i think alar won't make you tip smaller. it reduces the size of nostrils and nose width, not tip. it cannot refine tip since if a tip is bulbous, it is due to excess cartilage. so alar won't help. is the injection you mentioned ampules like someone mentioned b4? nvr heard of that but well, is it permanent? or is it temporary like the effect of botox? thanks and speedy recovery!

I just got my stitches removed this morning.. What a relief !!!! Now there is nothing i can do except to wait for the recovery.

Will post up photo after a week then cos now.. my eyes still look horrible (but not as bad as the past few days)

However, i still have doubts .. kinda of worry if my eyes will look worse before my surgery.

shal0m, don't mistaken, the photo i have posted are correct Before and After. I just have my operation done on 07Aug.

Whats your say on this?

There seem to be so many kinds now so confusing?; woffles lift to Aptos lift

anyone knows which is the best and not more expensive?

Prices i have seen so far is 3k++ in sg and msia

Anyone know what KALO is offering?

Would like more comment on this thanks,

My friend had a non-surgical thread lift done in Johor Bahru. I think it is called serdev thread lift. It only took her 1 hour and local anesthetics to get her face lift done...and it is absolutely natural. The clinic is just at City Square JB, and is called Laserlipolisis & Aesthetics Clinic.

I have not done the threadlift myself, my friend did it. I've only done the Smartlipo, which is a new method of liposuction. My friend couldn't exactly remember the cost, but she said it is less than RM 6,000. Anyways, she said all she remember is that it is half price of what she would have to spend in Singapore.

The website is www.laserliposuction-jb.com

Dr. Shahrin is a wonderful doctor. Definately not the kind of doctor that pushes you to do any treatment. In fact, I still remember the first time when I consulted him, I told him I wanted to do a serdev face lift, and he said "No. that I do not need a facelift yet" kekeke...

Anyways, Dr. Shahrin is very experienced in serdev and smartlipo, as he is trained overseas, and my understanding is that he trains many other doctors locally.

wow Yen! Your eyes are HUGE now, like some jap pop star... something like the eye peeping at us from the top right-hand corner of this page (Singaporeexpats.com ad), haha :)

Hmm, wondering if such huge eyes will look odd on a guy...

Hi Takuda,

Maybe I shouldn't have called it alarplasty.. but what the Singapore PS did what he opened my nose up and removed excess tissue/fat from the tip (that's what he told me). He also narrowed my nostrils supposedly. Anyway, i got the an uglier nose with scars. As i said, i have good healing, scars from knee surgery done Dec 2006 are barely visible. It was his skills that suck.
Abt what dr song said, i may have mistaken the chinese term he told me, but i knew he meant the same procedure as what the Singapore PS had done.

I'm not sure what is the active component in the injection. I think it's the same one that Ms juice got. According to dr song, the effect is permanent, but i guess only time will tell. I haven't seen any effect yet, cos my nose still swollen from the insertion of implant...
