the stitches can be seen from the outside for my case, i also thought it wouldnt be, so all my plans were messed up and i couldn't go for a few important meetings. the incision can be seen from the base of my nose =< and cos my nose is higher on my face now, im afraid everytime i lift my head up can see. im doin injection with ala, 4300ringgit. I really hope it will be nice after healed, now it looks horrible =< Dr Song tried to be gentle and comforting.

Yen, im not intendin to put in implant, what i hate about my nose is the size and large alar wings. I just don wan my nose to look so gross thats all.

Well for the nose jap, initally after e jap e nose will swell...
My swellin lasted abt a wk b4 i could actually the shape of my implate again..

After a wk or so, u can actually c e nose tip area gettin smaller but bcos u r facing ur nose everyday u cant reali c e big diff until u compare against ur old fotos...

Now after 1 mth+ of the jap, can reali c e nose not as fleshy as b4...

today my 2nd jap is to 'touch up' on e left side cos right side is oreadi fine & doin gd

So today oli took 1 jap for the left unlike e 1st jap which is on both left n right..

E jap is quite painful, in my opinion..

you can actually feel e liquid pumpin into the nose.....

thankfully i oli nid a jap on e left today....

yen, i seriously tink u dun nid e jap, mayb e doc oso wont recommend u to take e jap since ur nose so small oreadi...
Did u ask Dr. Song?

hi juice,

I asked Dr Song yesterday about my nose whether can do the jab, he said for my case my nose no need jab.. but if I really want den is to do can do alar.

Coz I want a very small small nose keke
Yen tat time u nv do alar ah??

I tink if u do alar n request to reali narrow alot, ur nose cfm v small... :)

I also did my alar reduction without any implant. All I wanted was a more narrow nose and didn't want any artificial material in my nose cuz I was worried about long term effects.

But after my alar reduction, my nose looked horrible. My nostrils showed too much from the front and it looked very fake. Two days after my first op, I asked Dr. Jung to add a gortex implant and lengthen my nose so nostrils dun show so much. And it turned out great.

Sometimes alar reduction alone can look funny if you have a short nose to begin with like mine. Might need an implant for a real improvement. As far as healing goes, the scars should heal up nicely. Just dun chew too much or laugh too big for a few weeks. Now at 15 mths post op, can't see my scars at all.

Oh my goodness hannah..im beginning to feel like what u did, that my nose tip is just a bit short and it looks a little weird, oh 2 days? u could put in an implant that soon?
My nose is still pretty large after the alar reduction so i hope i dont need to put in anything else, would imagine it'd be bigger.
I just hope its cos i haven't removed the stitches, there's still dried blood around my nose, my lips r a little swollen and im not used to my new nose =O

Thanks alot for sharing Hannah =>

my nose now

Post by shal0m » Wed, 12 Sep 2007 2:30 pm

Today is 1 month+ 3 days after having the nose implant & jab...

tip & bridge still high...went back to see dr song on Mon with Ms Juice, but dr song said my nose not ready for 2nd jab, so i'm going in again with Magdalyn on 21/9.

i am now just hoping that the tip will come down/ tilt downwards when the swelling subsides, cos that's the main reason why i chose to do the impant, dr song said he can use the implant to lengthen my nose. Right now, although I want to give it a benefit of doubt, I can't help worrying that the tip won't come down much even when the swelling subsides...
my nostrils still very visible from front, and the tip is so tilted up, esp from 3/4 view, i look so piggy...sigh...the the old alar scar from the stupid Singapore PS still so obvious, i think my nose is screwed up la...

Ya HUGS. I also feel stressed out about my nose hhaha...do too much also chia lat, will wonder if i had jus embarked on a long painful journey - do finish one thing must do another cos otherwise will look weird; do too little, wonder why i go through all the pain for? So i decided to calm down and let it heal first and assess it later, cos most celebrities go tru many surgeries, don have such high expectations , look at it as one step at a time so comfort myself. =>

hey gals, thanks for the reassurance...

i just wanted a normal looking nose since young...even my mum said my nose too big/ugly.. very low self-esteem...

back in 2005, thought things will be better after the surgery, but who knows that Singapore PS can screw up a supposedly simple surgery? I didn't even ask for an implant then, cos i want to look natural, like myself, but with a smaller, normal size nose.

guess it's the past experience that caused me to be anxious now...

HUGSSSSSSS Shalom, gosh that is exactly how i feel. though everyone I know ,my frens & bf say my nose is ok, since very young my family and my mom's friends say my nose is big/ugly. cos those assholes will compare me to my mom and say she is so beautiful n i have a small face, my family is bigger size, so my nose looks out of place with my face. Its big but it shouldv been ok, i should be confident enough but cos of my childhood i always feel that its not ok. ya i just want a smaller nose, a normal nose, no need a perfect nose, no need for it to be high and just right etc, jus don need for ppl to come and comment on it.
All the best shalom, u are beautiful no matter what they say. and we will pray that everything turns out alright. keep your spirits up my dear.. HUUUUGGGSSSS

Yeah I also felt I had a really wide, ugly nose my whole life. I thought that if I could just pinch in the nostrils a bit then it would like cuter and more petite. But I looked horrible and piggish. Immediately when i looked in the mirror after surgery, even all groggy on drugs, I knew that it looked WEIRD.

So I immediately told Dr. Jung to please fix it. Actually he had told me it will look wierd if I dun put an implant in and only do alar. But I didn't listen to him at the time. So he told me if I wanna lengthen and do implant, that I can do it the next day.

Can u imagine? I had two seperate surgeries like back to back. Horrible experience going under the knife twice in the span of 3 days. But u know, I'm so glad I got my nose lenghtened cuz now I have a nice bridge and my nostrils dun show at all frm the front. It looks much better.....

Open Rhinoplasty

Post by Meg28 » Wed, 12 Sep 2007 11:05 pm

Hello all,

I went to Kalo last week and requested to see Dr Song for consultation on my impending Rhino. He saw my nose and told me that the jabs to refine my bulbous tip are unsuiitable in my case. The jabs were suggested earlier by Kalo consultant. He said that my nose cartilages are too wide apart and I have too much fibrofatty tissues around the tip. So, I will be doing open Rhinoplasty where he will make the cartilages narrower by cutting some away and sutures them closer together to make the nose more refined. I will be putting the korean implant but he suggested for me not to have the alarplasty first until I have healed from this surgery. Reason being that the refining of the tip and the implant may give my nose a narrower look. The scary thing about open rhino is that the doctor will pull my nose up to fix my nose cartilages and remove fibrofatty tissues. If you want to understand what I mean, you can view some pictures here: http://www.rhinoplastyspecialist.com/ethrhino.asp#surg but please be warned these pictures are very graphic and some of you might be uncomfortable. :o

Princessli and Shallom,

Was it scary to have your rhinoplasty under local anaesthesia? Could you feel Dr Song performing the surgery on you? I am a bit paranoid as mine will be open rhino. Really appreciate if both of you can share your experience.

I will also be doing eyelift but doing the conventional method instead; something like Beanie's where the extra skin and fats will be removed.

I am also thinking of doing liposuction under the chin. Has anyone done this before?

I have set my surgery date sometime in early December. I am excited to see the new nose and fresher eyes but dread the 3 hour surgery.
