Just to highlight a little bit to all our friends here who wanted to learn chinese. In chinese writing, there are 2 type : Simplified Chinese & Traditional Chinese.

Simplified chinese commonly use in country like china, malaysia, singapore, etc.. Traditional Chinese use in taiwan.

Although both sound the same in speaking & pronounciation, but is very different in word writting.

I would suggest to learn simplified chinese, coz this is commonly use in various asia countries..

yes noel43 is right, simplified chinese is recommended..
if anyone is interested to learn chinese i don't mind teaching :)

I can speak mandarin and cantonese, i also would like to improve my english and learn some others languages.

haha.. u can also learn mandarin through singing.. sing mandarin songs and u will learn the mandarin words and pronunciation.. that's what i'm teaching my student here at my school 8-)
