I will be re-locating to SG near the end of June. I looked at some apartments when I was there in April and seemed to like the concept of living close to Great World City. I looked at Valley Park and liked it very much, but might be just out of our budget. Looked at Yong An Park, but too old.
Are there any places near GWC that meet the following criteria?
3 bed.
Min 1,500 sq ft
max 5.5K SG
No more than 12 years old
If not, are there any areas in Bukit Timah that would be similar to living near Great World City?
THANKS!

I stay next to Great World City, if you are looking for affordable and don't mind basic facilities, you can try Pacific Mansion. Nearby Lornie area apartments are good too, but a little expensive. Further down the road, you can try Aspen Heights.

What is Aspen Heights like?
Another question- how "close" to a grocery store is considered "close"- walking? 10 minutes, 5 minutes, 20 minutes? From where I live now, th grocery store is 3 miles away, and I am in no condition to walk that far

"close" - walking distance of 15 minutes.

i've been staying in the great world city apts for the last 3 weeks, and will be moving into my 'real' apt this weekend. i agree w/previous poster that aspen heights are a nice place. about 7-8 years old, so pretty modern, but the nice thing about the fact that it's not brand new is that the units are bigger than other places in the area that are newer.
i'm moving to the twin regency in tiong bahru, which is about a 10-15 min walk from GW city. it's a great place too, but it probably depends on your perspective whether it qualifies as 'near' GW or not.
good luck

Aspen heights is 10 mins walk away to the nearest supermarket, 15 mins walk to Great World City, and you can walk along Singapore River to reach both destinations.
There is a minimart within the
condo, selling general groceries and daily sundry needs.
