You can try Sentir Wellness @ 60B Boat Quay. I normally go there to do my bikini wax.

Thanks porsche2121! I was considering bikini wax too! Just need a little more info......

Do they use Hot (hard) wax? The type of wax that is heated in a pot (like a mini crock pot), apply a fairly thick layer of the liquid wax on the area. When the wax is somewhat cooler and semi solid, they yank the whole piece of wax off.

best regards

Hi Astrogirl,

I just had my hollywood wax and this lady is brilliant! It didn't hurt at all. I had mine done in Parkway Parade, not sure if it is convenient to you. Cost S$45.00 and yes it is hot (hard) wax.
I had a hollywood wax in Strip and it hurt alot. Tried it twice with different beauticians and I decided never to go again.
Anyway, this shop is called The Grooming Lounge 6344 5896 thegroominglounge@gmail.com

Good luck!

Sori for late reply...yes, they do use HOT wax. The beautician was gentle so it didnt hurt much. If anyone tells you that it doenst hurt at all..dont think thats true. Anything you kinda pluck off your body will hurt a little BUT bearable. You can call Liz @ 96866266. She is the beautician at Sentir Wellness. Good luck and have fun!

Maybe I am used to it. I have been going for hollywood wax for years.
The only time it truly hurts is waxing close to that time of the month so I intend to avoid that.

Have had a brazilian wax done at a shop in Tanglin Mall, and it hurt like $#@@. Took the lady approx 45 mins to complete it. Don't know what possessed me to go back a second time. They used the hard wax type. Went to Visage with a therapist named Yvonne - read about her on another waxing topic, and took her all of 15 minutes. She used the wax with the cotton strips. Limited pain, and minimal time. I would sooooo go back, and will not hesitate to pay the price they charge. Haven't had the under arm wax done there yet.

I actually do my underarm wax myself. I bought this tub (purple) of wax from UK called Nair (not sure if you can get them here).
Basically, you heat it in the microwave. Apply it on your arms/leg/underarms etc and wait for it to harden before ripping the wax off. Very good and effective. Cost me £7.99 and can be used for at least 10 times.
