getting a car in Singapore

apologies alrady if this subject has been mentionned a few times but wondering what is the current thinking in terms of buying or leasing ? If buying, better to get brand new or second hand. What do we have to look out for ? procedure etc ...
many thanks for any info or tips/ advice previous experiences.
