Any excellent freight forwarders to recommend??

Post by MissBittersweet » Wed, 16 May 2007 2:08 pm

Hi all!

I would like to ship items (eg chocolates, electronics) to and fro Singapore, Europe, South East Asia, and China but am extremely confused about the different shipping procedures (air freight vs sea freight!?) :???:
Would anyone of you be so kind as to recommend a good freight forwarder? (preferably not too expensive too)

You can also e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks alot!! :)

Air freight is faster than sea freight. Hence the former is more expensive.

Try sending items via the post office. Don't bother buying your own box. You can buy from Singpost.

Hope this helps.

What size shipments are you talking about? A few packages, a 1/4 container or what?

What is your required turnaround time? Overnight? Weeks? Are you concerned about spoilage?

Do you want your shipper to handle all aspects of the shipment including customs documents, etc. or will you handle these yourself?

As others have said, if you have a small quantity, the post office and/or an express company is probably easiest.

If you are talking larger quantities then you may want a freight company that specializes in combining items for aircraft pallets or container cargo.

N i don't people really ship... normally they will jus come by air... bcos of the freshness & quality... i don't suppose shipping is a good one... n depending on locations... u might need to choose more than one forwarder to ensure you are not over-paying for the same service
