Legitiate Part-time Maid

Post by Padster » Tue, 15 May 2007 9:33 pm

We are looking for a part-time maid to do some cleaning and babysitting for us each week. Obviously, we'd like someone who can do this for us legally. If you know of anyone, we'd be grateful for the recommendation.

I just searched on the Strait Times Classified and get my part time domestic helper. She is an Indian and a PR so it's legal. I need to pay a one-time fee of S$100 though. But I can't remember the agency name and number, if you need, I can ask my maid when she comes this weekend.

Hi Padster

My 2 housekeepers come once every week to do house cleaning. The company's name is Nouve, weblink: http://www.nouve.com.sg/packagelink.html . Their cleaners are mainly - Singaporean Chinese and some Malaysian PRs. I am in contact with its boss, Gerald, HP: 98798790.

Not sure if they do baby sitting officially, but have let my housekeepers handle my baby a few times, quite OK.

You may want to check out some of these cleaning companies.

A-Team Amahs (http://www.a-team.com.sg/)
Amah on Wheels (http://www.amahonwheels.com.sg/)

I got our part-time cleaning lady from A-Team Amahs and she's fast & efficient. If you prefer a team of 2 cleaners, you can also consider Amahs on Wheels but their charges are higher I think. :D
