Repair pierced ears? Where?

Hi does anyone have an experience with a doctor who can repair (close) pierced ears?
Need to reposition the ear piercing and this requires the existing holes to be sewn together. Called one plastic surgeon, they quoted 1500 S$!!! Husband offered to do ti himself
Any other suggestion?

Btw checked with my GP, he does not do it and recommended the said surgeon.

Why don't you let the holes close up then re-pierce? It may take a bit longer but definitely cheaper.

That would take ages - and the new hole has to be slightly above the old one - so if it would tear, I would end up with a hole in my ear like from National Geographic frontpage picture...

It cannot be, that I am the only one with this problem? How about people with injuries from earrings? Do they all use a PS for thousands of $$$?
Anyway any suggestion welcome - not the superglue one from my worse half though!
