second opinion from me.

The North east line is always easy and convenient.
I am doubtful about the east coast ...unless you drive or take the public bus to Suntec.

totally agree with deb96, getting to suntec from serangoon is definately much easier than from east coast. that is if you're taking public transport.

Hi Pringles,

I live near Serangoon Central (on the other side of the school) and I walk to the MRT everyday for work. The trains on the Serangoon line comes very often especially in peak hour so there shouldn't be a worry. Less than 10 minutes will get you to Dobhy Ghaut. (but haven't caught the MRT to Suntec yet, just moved here not long ago and haven't had time to do too much exploring).

The demographics here I would say local with kids, though have seen a few expats around. Everyone seems friendly and I can get by in the local shops not knowing chinese.

*Just checked your post again - city hall MRT - easy peasy!*

Hope this helps,
Lemme know if you have any more questions!

Louiza.

Thanks for the response!

Been here 3 weeks already and can see that yes, the place is small and places an be accessed easily.

Please pm me if anyone knows of available apartments/HDBs in the area - now residing in the central area but keen on moving into a more roomy place.

Thanks very much!
