If you do a search on google, their website is up. I went for a tour and liked the feel of the school.

Fees are steep, $22,500 per year, expensive for a relatively small and new school. I had expected it to be in the same range as Etonhouse or Chatsworth.

They follow the NSW Curriculum and offer prep-Grade 2 only.

They plan to keep the school small with a max number of 150 kids.

It is run by Whitelodge.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, that is bloody expensive but i guess the small size is admirable. Thanks for the response.

Happy days!

I toured Avondale a few days ago. We are moving in July/August, and given the waiting lists for most of the other International Schools, this appears to be our best option. (I also visited AIS, OFS, ISS, ERIS, and Chatsworth East)

The school has a really nice feel, I especially liked the large grassed area in the middle of the complex and the amount of space the kids had. There is plenty of room for expansion and we were told that whilst they only had 15 or so enrolled to start in July, they expected this to increase substantially given the waiting lists at other schools, and they plan on only having 200 students maximum in the school. I also went to the Australian School and they are apparently directing people to Avondale whilst people wait it out on their rather long waiting list.

The school has a 12m pool with lessons run by Marsden. They also have a fully kitted out computer lab and reasonably well stocked library. They will also be running mini-buses to areas for pick-ups/drop-offs.

We were impressed when we passed one of the classrooms and found that, even though it's essentially school holidays, the Headmistress was sitting on the floor teaching a group of three students who need some 'intensive tutoring' as they are in between grades.

The fees (ex GST) are :
$1000 Registration fee
$4500 Infants per term (there are 4 terms)
$4500 Primary per term
$100 Development fund
$50 Parents Association

We will be enrolling our 5 year old to start once we get settled in August. We feel it's location is still pretty central (especially as we haven't 100% decided on an area to live in yet)... but the main reason was that they could fit him in immediately!
