Pre-school in Novena area

Post by ExpatCdn » Wed, 09 May 2007 8:28 pm

Hi,

We just arrive on Saturday from Nassau, where we lived for four years.

We would like to put our 2 year old son in daycare / pre-school. It seems like we will be living in the Novena area.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Jill

Hi there!

There are a few schools arnd Novena: Etonhouse, Pats Schoolhouse, Modern Montessori etc. The list goes on. I went to all these while looking for a school for my eldest child.

My 4yr old girl is currently at Learning Vision at Gentle Road (www.learningvision.com) & I recommend it. Fees are not as high as other schools arnd the area. There are also quite a few of expat kids in the school. Your son wld either be in Toddler or Nursery 1 class. You also have option for either half or full day.

We are expecting our 28mth old twin boys to join their sis in the school soon:)

Anyways, you shd call up the schools if you want to enrol him soon. The popular ones might not have space in the school & may have to put you on waiting list. There is a quota on the student-teacher ratio for each class which they cant exceed.

Where are you from anyways?

Novena is a great place to live with small kids. Lots of great pre-schools. Eton house, Casa di Bambini and Little Woods Montessori being my favorites. My son is 2.5 yrs old and goes to Little Woods and he loves it there. Learning Vision is just down the road from there and is a great option if you want a day care facility.
