Anti-anxiety and sleep meds

Post by skjansen » Wed, 09 May 2007 5:19 am

I may be moving to Singapore in the near future. It appears the anti anxiety drugs and sleep meds are prohibited items. Does anyone know what the procedure is for using these meds in Singapore? They are not something you can just stop so I do not know what I am supposed to do.

Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciates.

Thanks a bunch! :)

In most countries a I believe a letter from you doctor would suffice, see the following page and link at bottom of page;

Hi,

although you are not supposed to bring these in without a doctor's letter I am sure you can be prescribed these medicines by a Singapore doctor. Maybe you could just bring enough to keep you going for a few weeks and then get more here.

Have you tried high dose Vitamin B supplements for anti-anxiety. I used to have problems with anxiety and depression but cured it with a high dose multi B tablet every day, flax oil supplements and exercise a few times a week. At least give it a try as much less harmful for you than taking medication. (you have to take them for about a month before you feel the full effect so dont give up too early) my regards and hope you feel better. Sara
