employment contracts issue

Post by fx8fx » Wed, 09 May 2007 2:54 am

Setting up new company here in Singapore, so far as I know, 7 days minimum annual leave and 1 day rest each week.
Wonder where we could find or buy the completed and clear info of the basic requirement related to employment here ?

Employment act is too complex and www.business.gov.sg is a mess about it.

Thanks in advance

Take a look at the MOM website. Contract requirements only apply to certain types of workers. If you can get a P1 to work for 1 week's vacation you are a master of persuasion.

hmm.. as far as I know, We are working on a 5-days work week schedule. 44-hours normal working hours per week. Anything after 44-hours is considered OT. Max OT per month is 72hours. Annual leave is subjective, but I think they set a guideline of 7-days AL & 7-days MC per year. CPF-contribution compulsory.

If You are employing, its better You actually work through agency.

& of cos, if You want to keep talents, You need to set a good welfare benefit, something like citibank :D

If You need assistance, you can visit http://www.mom.gov.sg/publish/momportal/en/home.html . They have helpdesk

Small correction to the above post. MOM requirements are 14 days Medical Leave per annum.
