Help with botched chin job!

Post by chinny » Fri, 04 May 2007 3:25 pm

Had my chin done at Gleneagles couple of years back, implant shifted and had to redo it a week after the operation. The implant shifted again after the 2nd op and i was told its due to my original slanted chin. We agreed to use screws to fix the implant in place, but on the actual day the surgeon backed out and claimed it is not a good idea. Now i have a little dent on my chin and it is very obvious the implant has shifted, recently i have been really troubled by it and is looking at possible solutions.
I had a consultation with a surgeon at Paragon and he said i have to remove the implant for him to see my original chin 1st, and have to wait for the swelling to cease before he can do an operation for me. Doesnt sound like a good idea to me, might have to wait months for swelling to go down..............??
Cos of tight budget im looking at the possibility of doing the adjustment at government hospitals, anyone can share with me how much is the cost and are they professional enough?
And the implant i was given is those without the wings, and i have a rather small jaw, shouldnt he gave me those with wings to enhance my jawline??
