We are new in Singapore. Ex pat couple ( no kids yet), early 30s.
Just starting the house hunting, and after some thoughts on what would suit us best.
Husband works in the CBD. Not sure I will be working - at least at first - so want somewhere manageable enough for him to get to work, but where I am within walking distance of some activity. No point being in the most amazing apartment if you feel isolated there. Doesn't have to be "city centre" as such - just somewhere with a few shops/cafes/bars etc within walking distance. We are used to "city living", and the convenience of that. Like the feel of Holland Village, but is that too "ex-patty"?!
We need 3 beds and would like some (private) outdoor space, like a balcony or terrace. Everything else ( facilities etc) a bonus.
Finding that the agent we are working with has some pre-conceived ideas about what we "should" want, which aren't necessarily right! Doesn't have to be super new, exclusive or ex-pat only.
Think we have a pretty generous budget (12) so should be acheivable to find something we like in the right loctaion - just haven't worked out where yet.
Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.
