Fuji Rock Festival 2007, Who wants to go?

Post by lacyusa » Thu, 03 May 2007 1:32 am

Hi,

Who's interested in a trip to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival end of July?
http://www.fujirockfestival.com/

Fly into Tokyo on Thursday July 26th, fly back on Sunday the 29th? 1.5 hour trainride to the campsite/festival location.

Bands include G Love and Special Sauce, Damien Rice, John Butler Trio, Railroad Earth (one of my alltime favs), Lily Allen, Mika, The Shins, The Ataris, the list goes on and on and on.

Let me know!

Lacy

Hey Lacy,

I'm heading to FRF, doing a solo mission at the moment, but would love to meet up with some people!

I already have tickets and accomodation booked, but let me know if you are organising a meet-up.

xx Sam

Hey Sam!

I am doing a solo mission as well, just got the tickets this past week. Are you going to camp there or stay in a hotel??

I need to get the gear first but I'm going to go the camping route I think....

Anyways, let me know if you hear of any fun music/festivals before then. I'm considering going down to Sydney for Live Earth day on 07-07-07.
Any interest?

I'm staying in a hotel, im travelling around Japan for another 3 weeks and wasn't keen on lugging a tent with me.

I'm also doing Summersonic Festival about 2 weeks after Fuji.

They have 2 locations, Tokyo and Osaka.

Lineup includes Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, Avril Lavigne, Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, 30 Seconds to Mars, Fall Out Boy, Editors, Offspring, Travis, Interpol, Modest Mouse, Pet Shop Boys, Dinosaur Jn and more! No way could I resist this one! Full lineup on the link below:

I wanted to go to Live Earth in the UK. Stellar lineup. But I'm re-locating from Sydney to Singapore in 4 weeks and need to get settled in a new apartment etc.

Fuji Rock, a meet up would be great! Who are you mainly going to see?

Sam,

Summersonic sounds pretty good! I'll see how that aligns with my work schedule.

Let's see Fuji Rock- mostly going to see Railroad Earth, GLove, John Butler Trio and Grace Potter-- excited about seeing a lot of the rest though!

We should definitely plan a meet up while up there if not beforehand. Are you in SG already or still traveling?

I'm so excited about Fuji Rock. I've had friends tell me it was their best festival experience ever. Coming from people who have been to Roskilde, Glastonbury, V Festival UK and Coachella!

Fuji rock, am going to see The Cure, Damien Rice, Mika, The Shins, Muse, John Butler Trio, Kings Of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, Lily Allen, gosh so many more, can't even list them!

I am actually still in Sydney. I'm getting married next weekend!

Moving to Singapore in late June. We can definately meet-up before Fuji. Name a place in Singapore and I'll be there (If I can find it!)

xx S

Hi Lacy,

I just joined the forum and saw your post. I'm VERY interested in going to Fuji Rock Festival. And I'm thrilled to see other music lovers. I moved to Singapore a few months ago. I miss good live music! I saw G Love in up close in a tiny venue a few months ago.

Would you would like to get together soon over coffee or drinks to discuss FRF? Would anyone else?

Alright people, let's start getting excited!

The countdown is on now, only just over 1 week to go!

Are we going to have an informal meetup beforehand to say hello?

What flights are everyone on?
