LAST GAME OF THE YEAR!! Dec 15th

Post by Austin512TX » Mon, 10 Dec 2007 8:19 pm

This Saturday will be our last game of the year. It's been a great season.

Let's try to break the record this time, the most people we have in one game is 14. I hope we can break the 20s barrier this time.

This is the grand daddy of 'em all. We all hope you can play with us for one last time this year.

For those who has been MIA for quite a while (you know who you are), we are expecting u this time !!!

Let's close this year with the greatest game we ever played.

Hell or High water, the game goes on.

We will resume our tradition sometime in mid January 2008

Beach rd 9.30am ... warm up and stretch!

Time: 9:15 AM (Warm up) 9: 30 AM (Game)

Place: Beach Road ( Opposite DHL Balloon, behind Parkview Square Building)

On TV

Post by Sinoscpetic » Sun, 16 Dec 2007 5:24 pm

Hi - not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I'll risk the wrath anyway

My wife and I are heading down to Singapore from China for Christmas and I was wondering if there's anyplace to watch the week 16 NFL games on TV/Big Screen?

Cheers in advance for any advice.

JD

PS, thanks for nothing.

Team, just my 2cents thoughts on what I think we should improve before we match up with the KL team (MAFFA)...

(...deleted...)

5. And finally, we need a jersey to look good, right? :D

Looking forward to playing again.

HOLD ON!

Post by sing07 » Sat, 12 Jan 2008 9:01 pm

I can c where this is going...

Fellas before u give out any more info (big or small) on the internet for the world to see and read about internal team info...

STOP and DONT! This is standard for coaches, u dont talk shop in public. U say it in the group after practice and thats it!

I dont want discussions on here regarding anything other than general info. This is for team protection. I know its for fun but pls dont.

If anyone on the roster needs to say anything then its to..

1)Song2)Eddie3)Sentosa4)Mark

We will have coaches meetings starting next week to review all of the above and then some.

Its our team and we will run it accordingly. Sorry to come accross strict but we need to set the team tempo here for all. We have some 40 players now so we have to set some standards and guidlines for all.

Enjoy the games learn n have fun but Song wants a tighter ship.

Pls respond to me directly (or Song) if u want to have ur say regarding team questions and input,

Hey all - I just arrived in Singapore for what will likely be a two-year stint, and I'm excited to have found this thread. I already emailed song and Eddie, but I have a couple questions for anyone who can answer them:

1 - do you guys play tackle or touch/flag? I'm hoping the former...

2 - how many people do you have regularly?

3 - how organized are you? Is this a league-type of thing, or you just post a shoutout and whoever shows up gets involved in a pickup game?

4 - How the hell can I watch the Giants/Dallas game tomorrow morning?!?!?

Thanks in advance for any info. I look forward to playing with you guys

Chris

I really do not want to buy a pair of soccer cleats. is it possible to find american football cleats in Singapore? I guess "rugby boots" would work too. I had a horrible time with the field, and I should be around for the next 2 weekends before I head back to the states for a week over the lunar new year. So I'm debating if I should go without cleats for 2 more weekends so I can buy that pair of underarmour cleats that I've been eyeing for a while, or buy locally.

Well the Cowboys lost, the Giants won but I'm guessing you already know that by now. xD

Yeah - I'm a Giants fan and I'm pretty happy right now about their performance, even though I didn't get to see it live. If I can't find a place to watch it this weekend I may pay the $25 to attempt to watch it online. I say "attempt" because I'm staying at the Concourse this month and the interweb is pretty slow. Also I'm worried now that it's good luck for me to refrain from watching them play...

regarding playing football - I emailed Song and Eddie regarding joining you guys, but no response. Is there room for 1 more 'merican?
