Hey !
Just wondered - is there many catholic churches in Singapore - ideally close to CBD? It maybe a stupid question - there maybe lots or very few - but I don't have a clue.
Thanks in advance
Geoff

Hi Geoff-
Let me know if you find a church you like. I am moving over there in 2 weeks and would enjoy the insider word

There are two in the CBD..
1. Church of Good Shepherd which is located near City Hall. Take the MRT to City Hall and ask the MRT customer service officer to guide you with the location. This is where the Archbishop of Singapore stays. In other words.. it's the Archbishop house.
2. St Joseph's Church. Located behind National Library in Bras Basah Road. Gothic Looking church.. Trivia: There are two St Joseph's Church in Singapore.. One in Bras Basah Road and the other in Bukit Timah.. So be sure to know which one you would like to go when asked by teh taxi Driver.. both St Joseph's Church are Catholic Churches..
hope that helps

The easiest way is to click the link in my signature and look under churches/catholic churches........

Thanks for all of your responses. We have a week before we start work and will be staying either just off orchard or at clarke quay - so we'll have a look at the churches mentioned.
Thanks
Geoff
