Hi im a newbie here
been reading alot about airline careers esp about singapore airlines..
I actually went back to jakarta to attend SQ walk in interview 11 april but i got cut at the 3rd round which is 1 to 4 interviewer and theres a role play also. i think i did very bad for the role play :( its actually about 2 passenger at a nite flight , the one sit in front was a lady singing so loud, and then the other one sit behind this lady was very angry and ask me (pretend to be a stewardess) to ask the lady to shut up and go away.

so what i want to know from u guys is.. if u went for the interview and then they ask u to do this role play, what will u guys say to the singing lady?

Hi,trevormyboy,I'm also new here. And I'm Indonesian.I plan to apply for SIA Flight Stewardess.

I really want to be flight attendant in SIA.How's the interview being conducted?I mean, what's the steps?the interviewers are also Indonesian or Singaporeans?I really have no idea of the interview,so I search through this forum, and fortunately found this topic.

Should we good looking to become a flight attendant? My english is not so fluent, but not broken also,is it accepted?

What's the questions being offered by the interviewers? Is it real that there's also a role play?I hope I can get some informations here.I really need help....

Thank you so much for your help.

Ok Honey,
I have this case before [real life]. I wish I could just tape that lady mouth, but being a crew on board I couldn't. What I did was, I went to the lady and ask the lady nicely, to keep her volume down as there are passenger sleeping around her. [This way, is to make her UNDERSTAND why I am telling her to keep her volume down].
By the time, she will get the message across, if not, I'm sure there's passenger around her will shut her up. ;) [just kidding]

If she still continues, this time you have to be more firm. Tell her that if she still continue to make too much noise. The captain will issue her "THE LETTER"[suddenly I forget whats the letter called], at the same time you have to inform the purser what you said and what exactly happen etc...

hi melissa chow
Hm... so u want to try in jakarta or singapore?
cos the interview is different.. in jakarta the 1st round is the same it was a group introduction.. the second one was reading English passage and then English test (written) after that the 3rd round was 4 person interviewing u after that do role play and the last round was mngt round.. so in jakarta theres no WCT.
the interviewer was mix Indonesian and Singaporean but all of them speak English and you are not allow to speak indonesian..

so next time if the have walk in interview in jakarta u can try lor.. anyway u can still try to send in the application the closing date is 23rd of may if im not wrong. u can check SQ website.

Thanks you so much trevormyboy for your information,u had given me a bit knowledge with how the interview conducted.

I want to try in Jakarta.Yeah, the closing date is 23rd of May.I havent submit the application anyway.haha.will send it tommorow.

Are u Indonesian or Singaporean?Actually I'm chinese, but still Indonesian nationality,is it affect their choice?

I really wish I can be accepted.hehe.when you interview, are there many people interview with you too?sory for asking too much, because I really have no idea since I've never walk for interview,so I dont know the situation.

I found this adv in jobsdb.anyway i wanna ask you, jobsdb said I should send 2 pcs of passport sized photograph, and a full length photograph, but in SQ website itself no necessary for the 2 pcs of passport sized photograph, only a recent full-length photograph, which one is true?

what's the reasons for not being accepted?is it mostly because of poor english?

thank you so much for ur help

Could be any amount of reasons but English will be a significant factor in Indonesia since they have emphasized the requirement in the advertisement.
