I have been offered a role in Singapore and my partner is a tradesperson in Australia. Is it possible to get work for a tradesperson in SIngapore? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

You didn't specify what type of trade your partner is specialised in. If he is a plumber, electrician, or something along those line, I doubt if he could get any work in Singapore, nor want to work here as a tradeperson.

Firstly, Asian countries are obsessed with education and white-collar jobs, trades profession are not regarded as professional works and therefore paid very little. Australian tradespeople are very well-paid, I honestly think you won't find this practice anywhere else in the world.

Secondly, to be able to work in Singapore, a foreigner needs to be sponsored by the employer in order to obtain the Employment Pass. The companies which are likely to sponsor foreigner are MNC, and I don't know any MNC in trades. As for local companies, they usually avoid employing foreigners because of complicated paperwork and a quota of how many foreigner they can have in the company.
Lord please help me from Singapore...
