Travel time to/from work by bus - Laguna Green East coast

Hi there, could anyone give me an indication how long it would take me to travel to Winsland House (Penang Road close to Somerset MRT) from Upper East Coast Road (close to Laguna Green/Villa Marina area) if I use the bus?

I understand there is a number 10 or a number 36 bus along that route, but no one can tell me how long it actually takes to and from work.

Anyone with experience can give me feedback?

the 36 is the quickest. I think the first stop (once it comes off the ECP from the airport) is outside Lagoon View on Marine Parade Rd.

It can take a good 45 mins to get as far as Winsland House in the morning (there is usually slow moving traffic when it gets back on the ECP towards the Shears Bridge). The good news is that if you get on near where you live, you will probably get a seat!

Another alternative would be to get the bus the other way up to Bedok and get the MRT from there, change at City Hall and get off at Somerset (that might turn out to be a faster journey).

The No 10 goes through the CBD and not past Winsland House.

Thank you, this was exactly the information I was after. I've since found out there is a 16 that goes past winsland house as well, but probably the same problem with slow traffic in the morning.

glad to be of help. the 16 isn't a very good bus to get as it takes ages as it goes around the HDB estate on Marine Parade rd, then the stadium and there is also a diversion in place down Dunman Rd (so it does a detour). You would also have to walk up to Victoria School to get it as it is one of the buses that finishes its circuit and does a loop around Victoria school before heading back into town, but if you don't mind a little walk from there it is another alternative.
