Hey Dylla,
sorry for the late reply, been at work all weekend :S
don't worry k dear! as many of the other girls have mentioned, the life vest will keep u buoyant so just kick your way to the end. i heard it can be quite fun *cross fingers*
i can swim but very barely, so u won't be alone :)

hi eanswallow
from what i know they will ask u to go to SIA training centre to do your WCT. i think it is about 3 meter high or maybe 2? i went for silk air WCT before.. i cannot swim but i passed the test anyway and its actually very fun. what u need to do is just follow what the instructor says about how to jump "leg must go down first not your body"

There is a beautiful invention called the tampon. Plus, you definately won't leak when you're immersed in water. Plus plus, it's only for a couple of minutes.

Dylla, dont mind I try to answer your question.

I believe the distance from the floor of the mock aircraft to the surface of the water is about 1.6m actually. Cos I remember standing at the side of the pool (i.e. my feet are at same level as the water surface) and the floor of the aircraft was about my eye level.

I think 3m refers to the distance from the top of your head to the water surface, not the actual distance you have to jump.

Hope I'm not confusing you! You can PM me if you need clarifications ok?

yup, i saw girls with various types of swim suits and bikinis as well. not a problem. but i'll say the water confidence test itself is not as important as the skin check after it cuz the judges were not even looking (most of the time) when the girls were doing the water test. however, that said, of cos if you are struggling in the water, or don't dare to jump, it would work against you. if you inflate your life vest well, you resurface within 1 second literally! very fast!! it's over before you realized it. after which, just swim backstroke to the end of the pool.

can wear goggles for the water test if any of you girls are uncomfortable with opening your eyes in the water.

for the skin test, i think walking confidently, SMILE, and answer their short questions (one or two only for most of us, like "how are you today?") SMILING would help!

for girls worrying about scars and cellulite, dun worry as many got through anyway regardless of it. can't emphasize enough, to be yourself and smile.

gd luck for the last batch (i think) of girls for wc test on 4th may, fri :)

 Well, if you're unfortunately having your period on the day of your WCT, just don't wear a pad when you are gg into the water. It won't leak that much in a span of 20minutes. Cause I think a pad immersed in water combined with your period sounds utterly gross.
