childrens name tags, labels for clothing

Post by ffsgrelier » Mon, 09 Apr 2007 9:25 pm

Good evening

am in a bit of a pickle as my 2 children are starting school in a couple of weeks and I was told to label all their belongings. i have been searching shops and the internet for woven name tags or iron on labels in singapore but cannot find anything local. Australia or china would be the closest but time is tight.
If anybody knew of a place where i could get some, i'd really appreciate. Thanks

Hi,
I used a fabric marker to label all uniforms and folders. Easily available at stationary stores.

You can get iron on label kit in Spotlight in Plaza Singapura, it is still just a laundry marker and you have to write the names yourself. If you don't want the kit there are some really good Laundry Marker pens available at any stationery store or places like Times/Popular in their pen dept.

There are places to get the sticky labels done, but mainly through the hotel fairs and things and they tend to cost quite a bit. In the interim just use the special marker pens even on lunch boxes etc, it works quite well and will definitely do short term until you find the others.

Try these guys. We used them in Australia and just recently after we relocated to Singapore. Can highly recommend their products. Delivery is approx 1 week after order.

Very simple....just go to any local tailor and tell them you need name tags for school uniforms. There is such a thing to be found once you get away from Orchard Road and Holland Village.....

If you want something cheaper, drop by at chinatown. they have professional tailors that does labelling and tagging of your child's belongings and clothings. It will cost you a fraction of what you pay outside. Alternatively, you can get iron ons =) iron on papers can be found easily at most major stationary retails
