Workshop/Seminars for setting up small business

Post by ibeyoda » Sun, 01 Apr 2007 1:58 pm

Hi there, I remember there were govt inst. or schools offering some kind of workshop/seminars for people who wanted to start their own business.

I am looking at starting up a F&B and would like to start by attending a workshop. Unfortunately when I actively try to search for it online, i can't seem to find it.

Anyone with information, please reply. Thanks.

hi,

i'm do heard of entrepeuneurship workshops for students but not sure about the adults.

But i believe if You were to startup, a workshop might not be enough for You. Its better that You go through government business sites on procedure, regulation & ways to do it & get professional advise.

You can try out these two websites. They do provide assistance for startups.

www.business.gov.sg
www.edb.gov.sg
These are the two official government websites targeted in helping startups too. Definitely, You will find what You want.

& if You are dealing with businesses that depends on regional stablity, http://www.sbf.org.sg/ might be of some help.

Yes, yes, there's such a workshop. This one focuses on How to raise funding and grants for your business. Go to shop.occamlogic.com. I personally benefitted from his services. Important topic for all of us....

Cheers,
Iris.

I read in newspaper that there are paid seminar or workshop that teach entrepreneurship, and is organised by entrepreneur themselves. You should find the ads easily in Strait Times, under Money setction.

Some are just targeting people for sales. Got to be aware of such schemes.
