Need your oponion

Post by nad » Sun, 01 Apr 2007 11:49 am

Hi my name is Nadia and I'm moving with my family to Singapore in july.
I have an 11 year old and I'm aware of the difficulty of getting a place at Tanglin or UWC because of their long waiting list.
My son is with a background of british education but at this time I'm very flexible regarding which system and don't mind an IB one.
I got a reply from Overseas Familyand dover court school that they might have a place for him.
Can anyone advise me regarding any of these two schools. I mean education level offered by them is important but more important is their enviornment and the care and attention they give to their students.
Please would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks :D

Hi Nadia,
Well my 6 year old is at Dover Court and is doing well. A lot of people think that it is a special school but that is not the case. They have kids with special needs but the core groups are mainstream.
I think it is a good school, smaller than Tanglin and UWC and very child focussed. They celebrate the cultural diversity of their kids.
I prefer DC to Tanglin but if UWC was available i would have sent my son their.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
