Does anyone know a good 1-on-1 Mandarin teacher/tutor?

Postby GoTheCon » Sat, 31 Mar 2007 2:48 pm

I want to learn to speak Mandarin. I have heard there are retired teachers/professors who freelance and now teach from home or visit a student's home, but haven't managed to find anything like that online yet.

My hours and professional travel schedule mean a course is out of the question and feel one-on-one tuition would be much more beneficial.

Please don't direct me to the classifieds section of this site. I've checked it out and it's not what I'm looking for. Ideally, I'd like to hear recommendations from other ex-pats.

Many thanks.
