All. On last minute, my leave was approved. So I took a cab there for my interview. Same as Komi, I was given a green card to wait for another appointment within 6 weeks. I didn't do well in the language assessment. Haha. Anyway, I saw some girls, who were interviewed before me, were like waiting for somthing. Not too sure what it was about.
Btw, the girls who came for the interview today, some are really pretty.

That brief language assesment is to read a given passage and to talk about a random topic like "can u introduce your hp function in Mandrine", "can u introduce Singapore's Lau Pat Sat in Mandrine" etc. Yeah.. And the lady testing us was really kind, i thought i did kinda crappy. But i just kept smiling and nodding. Hehe..

Ahhh. Bloody mandarin assessment. Somewhat I'm glad I never made it through the first round. The language asessement would have me killed on the spot.

Hey Ab,
Haha, actually right, the passage is given with Han Yu Pin Ying! And you are given four mins to read through. So, YOU COULD HAVE DONE IT if you wanted to! ^.^ I kept jamming at many points but i went like "pardon me", "excuse me", "sorry" etc and i continue. You know, cox' it's all in FAN TI ZI (traditional chinese). So, pretty difficult for me.

LOL. Still, my mandarin is DAMN BAD. Hanyu pinyin or no hanyu pinyin, I think I will still die.

Hi camperboy, since there was no passage for indians to read, i had to answer the questions in formal tamil which they recorded. Apparantly, it will be sent for verification. It was really tough, i had a difficult time trying to think of words in tamil and ended up using a lot of english words. So language assesment is still pending for me. I hope the person who listens to the recording doesn't laugh his/her ass off when verifying it. :p

mz^d, it's the same for me. I opt not to choose Chinese passage. So they asked me to speak in the language I preferred. I had a hard time too because I was trying to speak in a formal way. It sounded very unnatural, especially when it was recorded.
