Hi!
Reference letters could be from school, could be from past employers =) But get ready address OR fax number of one (maybe current or the one which you worked longest for) company, they will choose one stated from your resume to contact IF you manage to pass through and go for the medical round.
And just in case you guys are interested, there'd be a passage reading in Chinese/Canotonese (you may chose). Follow by talking about a VERY random topic in the langauge you've chosen. And then you'd move on to the one-to-one interview. I don't know its gonna be the same but 80% of the Qns asked of me are related to my past work experience.
Hope this might calm you all down a lil =)

did u go for the 2nd interview today?
will u know the results of the interview or suppose to wait for notice?
Hey Komi,
Yeah i went back for the second round today. You know i can't really answer you on that cox' people before me, less than a handful did not even get the blue card (that indicates something like "cathay will contact you within two weeks due to bla bla bla"), and the ALL THE REST got the blue card. But a handful of the people who gotten the blue card, was not told to wait for further paperwork (like the past employment check, medical-check paperwork etc). But i heard from this friend of mine, it was because the interviwer said that they are in a rush for today, as they had to stop by 6pm. So they'd call them up if there are anything or for the medical round. So i don't know if they would, actually.
Yah. But great great luck. It's simple, they want smiles and fluency of speech, and of coursem politeness and true passion in the job. Ladies who are in mid 30s or even 40 were there. And they stand chances. So people like us, shouldn't just feel despondent easily =)

I can't read Chinese! Sigh... Btw, what if I do not have any testimonial/reference letter? It's kinda late to ask for one now.qiutinger wrote:And just in case you guys are interested, there'd be a passage reading in Chinese/Canotonese (you may chose). Btw, I'm still unsure whether I should go for the interview tomorrow. Hm...
Hi everyone..camperboy wrote:LOL.... maybe the 1st day ppl with experience and 2nd day they are choosing fresh ppl..![]()
I went for my interview today... 1 out of 9 got in.. I guess our group was not so lucky, as we were interviewed by the recruitment officer from CX but not the lady in purple. The lady who gt in was a mother of a 14yr old son and she is an ex-crew.
Anyway, all the best to those who got selected for 2nd round!
Cheers!

the language assessment is done in a group??
Komi,
the langauge brief test was done one to one but it is in a common room where other people could hear you loud and clear. afterwhich then you will go to the actual one-to-one interview. Don't worry, cox' the language test lady is REALLY WARM and FRIENDLY =)
