Just came back from the interview. I didn't make it.

1st stage
> Presentation of Cathay Pacific
> Fill up application form
> Measurements taken to see if you are able to reach for 208cm

2nd stage
> Group interview
- Self intro
- Group discussion

Then you will be invited for the final interview held on the next day.

In my group, 4 out of 8 make it. All of them are current or ex-crew. One of the ex-crew was from CX for more than 10years. She stopped flying for 8years. So I guess her age is around 40.

Hopeless > Age is not a problem at all.

Good luck to all!!!

I got no idea how much is the basic salary & flying allowance as they never really talk about it. About 1hr for the whole process (30mins presentation, 30mins group interview).

Hey there, thanks for sharing the process... :)

Which round did u not make it through? Seems like they fancy people with relevant EXPERIENCE, sigh, not pinning high hopes for tmrw - hope to hear form those whom made it thru' but not ex-crew!

Was there any dress code? Formal? Casual ok? And how many people are there to judge the group discussion?

Thnx

There are around 40-50 of us in the 8.30am slot. Divided into smaller group for the discussion round.

Better to dress formal. Blouse with pants/skirt. :)

Ditto. I didn't make it either. Was at the 1000hours slot.

3 out of 9 of us in my group made it. 2 were ex-crew, the other a fresh grad like me. I really have no idea how they select because 1 of the selected barely said anything during the discussion.

Hi abnegation,

Dun be sad ya, go try SQ the next time round!
Looks like CX is more keen to hire ex-crew, based on the feedback from those who had gone for the interview...

Hopeless! You were supposed to go with me. Did you go in the end?

Yeah, seems like it la. Anyway, I've got my WC for SQ tmr. So I better pull through it or I'll be devastated! :?

---

Anyway, info for those who want to know. They stated that there will be only 2 routes for the time being. SIN-HKG and SIN-CMB and that they are turnaround flights only.

Hi Guys,

Just got home after running a million errands. Guess someone has already posted more details on the interview process ya...

Well, not too sure bout the criteria / attributes they are looking for. In my group 5 of us got in, out of which 3 were ex crew and one current crew with SQ.

Perhaps they are giving more priority to those with flying experience. But the lady who interviewed us did mention that they may contact those who were not given any slots for the final interview within the next 2 weeks, after more consideration that is. So fret not! You might just get a call :)

Good luck to those who got through to the final round
