babysitter

Post by deniseredlinger » Fri, 30 Mar 2007 11:09 am

help! i know this topic has been covered already and i feel silly  asking again. i was recommeneded a few different nannys last time i asked.

i want to do a class which will be a full 3-4 weekdays. its just a one off so i dont want to pay a high agency fee for an agency to find me someone since ill only need a babysitter for 1 week.

tangil mall? forum mall?paragon mall? can anyone recommend anyone in paticular? i believe you pay $15 per hour but the babysitters come with references and first aid training?

any suggestions?

When does your class start? The ladies I use now charge me their 'private' rate which has worked out to be cheaper then the original company rate - mind you I have used them a lot over the last couple of years! If you started using one now you could ask her if she would offer you the private rate for the duration of the course - she might be willing to do that. Regarding b&b they have just moved into smaller premises at tanglin shopping centre, my personal preference would be to have the baby sitter go to your place if you will need them all day.

thank you all for the suggestions. i would like to do my class in june when my daughters on school holiday just so i wouldnt have to worry about her being picked up on time etc..

i called b&b and its $15 per hour to take her there and more $17-$18 an hour for someone to come to my house. since its sooo many hours im looking at: a total of about 26 hours. im only willing to go $15 an hour max or the cost of this babysitting will really dent our bank account. im open to maybe an expat teenager hopefully could do it for a little less $, would be fun for my daughter too, lots of energy. but for 4 full days, im sure they are all in school themselves. im going to take my daughter to b%b for a few hours in april just to try it and see if she likes it. shes 4 years old. they mostly deal with babies and younger toddlers so she may be very bored. really not sure what to do? but i still have a few months to decide.

No twisterr, i haven't found one yet. Have u got one that you can recommend, i do not want one direct from an agency. I would feel so much better if it was someone that came recommended, trust worthy and energetic.

Help me, i need a break. :???: :(
