Coming to Spore - need help on the place to live

Post by hellogirl » Thu, 29 Mar 2007 3:38 pm

Hey guys,

I need your help. I am coming to Spore in one month, but no idea where to live. My budget is around 3500 - 4000 SGD /month. I will be working on the Orchard road, but do not have to live so close. If it's around 15min. by MRT or bus, it would be fine.

Is there any place where it's modern with min. two bedrooms? PLEASE HELP! :)

Hi, , there are lots of place within your budget but of course not orchard, depends on what you looking for, because diff condos for diff mix of expats, some are cosmopolitan, some are less.

Also depends on whether you have kids, as there are condos with lots of amenities near by and some less, there are plenty of choice. Best to stay condos near the MRT. Transport here is great but its easier to take train at the begining.

Stay at newer condos as facilities/design are better.

suggestions

it will be easy to find a flat with that budget
remember that you depending on the lease you are going to sign
you will need to pay in advance

the broker - 1 month for 2 year lease and 1/2 month for 1 year lease
if you are thnking about staying in singapore i suggest you to do a contract for two years because rent is becoming very expensive!
also all the manteinance of the flat is usually paid by you - so AC every 3 months it could cost you from 100 dollars

then you will need to put 500 dollars towards the utility bills electricity and water as a deposit

then you have the internent and tv - if you want and the provider will ask you again 250 dollars as a deposit

all the contracts are for 1 or two years
