Nightlife in Singapore!!

Hello folks! I'm a foreign student from the National University of Singapore doing a project on the perception of expatriates on the quality of the night scene in Singapore. So i'm posting this thread here... hoping I can get some opinions/feedback... feel free to air your complaints and grouses or sing your praises too haha! Perhaps you can voice out your comments to some of the questions below...

1. What is your impression of Singapore before you came here?

2. After coming to Singapore, did what you see and experience reflect your first impression of the country?

3. How important is the night scene of your country of residence to you?

4. Do you feel that there are sufficient night activities here?

5. How does the quality of the current nightlife compare to what you saw when you first came?

6. What are your feelings about the government's plans to spruce up the night scene with more neon lights (Las Vegas styled!), night spots which close at 6am, an integrated resort with a casino, midnite shopping etc etc... How excited are you about all this!!

7. Any other ideas you would like to see implemented?
